Perpetually tired mental health counselor, sometimes retro game streamer, comedian, Mensan, coffee connoisseur, bacon lover, chronic pain survivor, nefarious pirate, and generally all-round nice dude...

  • We used have that until some dumbass in our company fucked up our insurance plan. $20 for total telecare, it was awesome.

  • Our company has a policy that if you're sick for 2 days or more, you have to have a doctors note to return. So faking sick comes with a price tag for me. Also, any time I've ever joked about being sick, I actually end up sick. I'll just call around and get someone to cover for me, then tell my supervisor I'm taking a personal day instead of earning some bad karma.

  • Institutions... Totally not concentration camps.

I think the eugenics orders come next?

  • I got chewed out on reddit once for being "cheap" because I said tip before the tax. Guy was super pissed over what amounts to a difference of cents. Went off on a huge rant belittling me like I admitted to murdering puppies..

Like... Dude, if your whole life comes crashing down over 40¢, to the point that's your reaction, maybe there's a much bigger problem going on here?

  • Exactly, it literally says in Control's wiki, "inspired by paranormal stories about the fictional SCP Foundation." I didn't know the genre is now called "New Weird" though. I have some new authors to check out.

  • The SCP Foundation is a secret organization dedicated to securing, containing, and protecting various anomalous entities. The website is an archive of top secret documents including entries for each entity, called an SCP followed by a number, containing a practical name, detailed description, the effects of the anomaly, experiments performed, containment methods, pictures, etc. Objects can be anything, benign looking household items, monsters, seemingly normal humans, etc. There's nearly 5000 entries on the site. It's a pretty fun time sink if you're into short horror stories. Most of them only take a minute or two to read. There's also multiple games, most notably SCP Containment Breach and tons of spinoff material.

  • Sub-creatures! Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar, the Traveller has come! Choose and perish!

  • puts in coins and pushes button for Crystal Bepis, gets diet root beer

puts in coins and pushes button for Bepis this time, somehow receive trail mix, not in bag

Accidentally put in too much money, return button doesn't work. Push any soda button, nothing happens. Next guy gets two sodas he actually pushed the button for.

  • This'll be the same fucking deal as last time... Russia gets Crimea and their controlled territories, plus the ones Ukraine reclaimed. The US gets access to Ukraine mining exploits. Also Zelensky must step down so Russia can install a puppet government like Belarus...

Oh, and Trump also gets to give himself a Nobel prize.

  • I don't feel like the story telling was as good in Evermore. Secret of Mana grabbed me a lot more with it's characters and it's difficulty, and I always loved the plot despite some pretty obvious flaws. The music is still one of the best ever soundtracks too.

I think Evermore also got completely overshadowed by Chrono Trigger being released just 2 months before in the US.

  • Meanwhile, at the Kong residence

  • Huh... Neither had I, so I did a search...

Apparently it comes from a Dutch phrase that got butchered into tattoo.

  • I'mmmm 'Enery the eighth I am!

'Enery the eighth I am, I am!

I got married to the widow next door!

She's been married seven times before!

And every one was an 'Enery!

She didn't have a Willy or a Sam!

I'm her eighth old man, I'm 'Enery!

    'Enery the eighth I am!

Second verse, same as the first!

  • Run the payment through PayPal direct to your bank account.

Alternatively, you could add the funds directly to your steam wallet using your regular card and say "Fuck you, you can't even stop me!" to them.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one! I still vividly remember being at a buddy's house, there were like 4 or 5 of us taking turns playing Playstation, Marvel VS Capcom, and watching it on his other TV and all of us stopping to watch as they feed the guy in... That scene made me so queasy.
