    It probably also feels less premium than the newer offerings. It's pretty old, irc I bought it in 2014 or thereabouts.

  • I still have a FiiO X1 (not sold anymore) it has very robust navigation for a device without a keyboard, and does gapless playback.

    The newer budget offerings kinda feel like a downgrade.

  • Most people die from heat way before water starts to boil though. And we also don't freeze solid at 0°C, although it is pretty cold, I'd say that end fits slightly better.

    Learning how to deal with abuse is a good thing obviously, but I don't think that we should do that by just abusing people on purpose when it's not necessary at all. That just has very strong "it builds character" vibes...

    Like the earplug thing just shouldn't be an issue at all. It seems to be one sometimes, but not allowing someone to wear earplugs won't prepare them to deal with ppl trying to prevent to do that in the future.

  • Die gelben Warnungen vom DWD sind tatsächlich meistens super egal, ich lese die eigentlich eher als Info. Es gibt aber auch andere Farben die deutlich seltener vorkommen und die ich dann auch automatisch ernster nehme.

    Man hätte die gelben Dinger auch einfach nicht Warnungen nennen müssen...

    Not all of the European ones are trying to do that, but the ones that are, probably need skilled people to do so.

  • Maybe, but in my memories my childhood wasn't super full of overstimulation. We didn't have a TV at home and my mom was fairly good at seeing me rested, because if I wasn't I'd be super annoying to her.

    If anything, I was responsible for my overstimulation at home once I had a pc and access to the internet. It probably could be a factor though, because, my then undiagnosed ADHD, usually was only a problem at school. And school was very overstimulating at times.

    But I feel I wouldn't have turned out super different if school and the rest of the world had been less stimulating. Alot of the problems I had could be attributed to ADHD and they started pretty early in school. I can't remember a lot about my live before school but from what I'm told it was relatively stress free, at least for me. But parents being constantly stressed can also affect their children, so who knows really...

  • I'm one of the trans kids adults, I'd be fucked anyways. Just wanted to illustrate that being invaded, if you welcome it or not, is usually a pretty rough affair.

    War is brutal, I don't know if I would be willing to suffer through one, just for stuff to be slightly better afterwards, maybe. Provided I had the choice in the first place ofc.

    I'll at least have to try to resist, if I wouldn't I'd might as well hang myself now, or at least when the struggle gets to much to bear.
