  • Exactly and that's why open source community-run stuff needs to be explained to people so more people switch over. https://alternativeto.net/ and https://european-alternatives.org/ will help a ton for people to find more

I've heard HuggingFace has made a couple open source robots not sure if they are libre fully but they seem interesting. A couple other projects are on YouTube too

The more advanced ones are still not being done as open source though

  • It jus clicked for me why they call it copilot. Hated it since it was announced and even more now. Everybody should be flying solo

  • Ironfox does as well

  • Ironfox, Cromite, Librewolf, Ungoogled Chromium, Orion, so many much better options nowadays.

  • Smart, true

  • Also the people need to organize way more to get more done especially getting way more people doing too. It all compounds overtime

  • Can you make some tutorials for how to?

  • Sadly they do. The best way to make money is just be consistent in what you want to do that makes money.

If you want to make the most money too then above a career is having a business. Building a business next to a job/career is possible even though it will be tough

  • Many of us have been trying to get people to organize online to do that in real time communities on say Matrix and Stoat to inform, collaborate, strengthen each other, etc but people need to stop scrolling, and do.

The whole country as a matter of fact.

How do we get through to people who want to be entertained?

Plenty of us already are doing but we need way more

  • This is what Bluesky does but we should take that idea and do that ourselves as well for not just a Substack decentralized alternative but also for Amazon, and Facebook decentralized alternatives as well

    PeerTube Needs An Overhaul?

  • Thats awesome!!! Would be cool if it could be made to work with Vanillo (not open source sadly) and PeerTube. Would be an awesome thing overall

  • I got you read https://goodgoodgood.co/ 2 articles on Hope:

    1. New study finds hope key to a meaningful life
    2. Hopeful people live better lives (14 year study)

Hope that tomorrow will be better than today and to do today with action solo and with others via collaboration, coordination, logistics, and short-term & long-term thinking to get to that tomorrow.

Read up on the many many benefits for Hope and same for benefits of gratitude, chosen family, friends, & community. All 5 have massively helped my mental health. Overtime as you keep building them up it will help you too. Try to do the same for others when you are able to in near future once you have yourself setup for all those

Read books, videos, etc about each of those things and with each one pause whenever you feel like it and do whatever it says to make it part of your life. Dont chase any of it embrace all of it as now. You are hopeful and grateful right now. You have others no matter what from those and up to internationally with real allies of the people

  • For temp issues while saving on a lot of future headaches, and financials dealing with Windows more. But I getcha

  • Switch to Linux Mint, KDE, or Pop OS Cosmic

Then once comfortable get your company to switch to it

  • Good luck either way hoping for best!

  • I hope not but you never know

  • At that point fuck the companies

  • Every dev should be switching to Forgejo/Codeberg, & possibly Gitlab instead of Github for sure

  • O3DE, Godot, & Stride are definitely better options but cool regardless
