Yeah, I don’t see why not. Generally, Ubuntu is a good choice for revitalizing older hardware, kinda giving stuff that would be outdated and useless a new lease on life. I’m running it on a Toughbook CF-33 and a desktop that is probably 10 years old as well. Both are perfectly usable.

I use a Linux distro built specifically for audio production, Ubuntu Studio. It comes pre-loaded with everything you need. My workflow is pretty atypical, most of my sound sculpting is done outside the box using outboard gear, I generally only use the computer for recording and editing audio.

I can make my own coffee thank you very little. Best cup of coffee I ever had was from beans I ground in a burlap sack with a hammer because I accidentally bought whole coffee beans instead of ground coffee, put in a Moka pot on a camping stove brewed on the sidewalk when I was homeless.
