  • With 200 million they can get a medal "I won at capitalism" but any further dollar should be harshly punished so they have an incentive to get rid of it.

  • True Norwegian Black Raggae?

  • I'm sorry

  • I can't really tell why but he also looks extremely Scandinavian to me

  • I don't think it's like being on drugs at all but it opens your mind to other people's thoughts and they can be contagious. So there is a danger. It's the same as listening to someone though.

However, reading / listening while on psychedelics opens your mind even further which can be good or bad, depending on the thoughts.

  • I'm in a deep trance while I'm reading your comment. No, wait, I'm sitting on the toilet doom scrolling...

  • Yeah, who needs TLS anyways?

  • I have to agree with you and with the Mistral guy.

    Regarding the Mistral guy:

He speaks about AI but means LLMs, because that's what he's developing and that's what's hot right now.

A super intelligence that will wipe out humanity is indeed science fiction at this point. And one of the most effective evil way of using them right now is for political influence. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjQNDCYL5Rg

    Regarding your points:

I totally agree that profit is definitely more important than social stability and safety for most of big tech.

Also, whatever the AI as a tool is capable of, it will definitely be used for ruthless profit and power gains by powerful people.

So while I see the current AI situation as very problematic, I don't think it will turn into a Terminator scenario anytime soon. However, if AI gets close to this point, the powerful people, including the Big Tech CEOs will most likely prioritize profits and power over safety again and make it a reality.

  • Sounds plausible but only if you forget the fact that the DOW was over 50000!!! That changes everything.

  • Do you by chance know the backstory of the Mark Ruffalo blowing thing? I started watching the channel a bit late and it was already established at that point.

  • If there's on thing I learned from watching a lot of true crime, it's this: ALWAYS ASK FOR A LAWYER

No chit chat before, first thing you do is ask for a lawyer and then keep your mouth closed.

However, I just realized that it's probably directly to ask for a lawyer without opening your mouth a bit first....

  • I watched Spaceballs before I learned English and the jammed Radar joke can't be translated to German.

Also a lot of the ZAZ movies had untranslatable jokes that I only understood once I watched the original English versions of the movies.
