  • But WDYMP! The awakened DT2 bosses are too powerful! No noob could ever best the awakened leviathan! It's an indestructable powerhouse whose enrage phase makes the hearts of the mightiest heroes shudder.

SILENCE, LIB! THE AWAKENED LEVIATHAN IS DEAD

  • Nyeah

    Jump
  • Contemplating the one comrade here who talked about what a tool for humanity the Internet could have been outside of the capitalist framework and now I'm just sat here feeling feelings.

  • Goblinism (mandatory), love (optional), good food (mandatory), chama (mandatory), finding out what the One Piece is (prime directive)

  • Oh I am entirely wrong. Thank you for clarifying and elaborating!

  • guy who helps create hell in Earth: I want more people to be engulfed in hellfire!!

Yeah, no shit. Do you prefer the 14 or the 88?

  • I don't remember truly, but I thought it was giga low turnout because everyone hated the two options

    WRONG ALERT

  • I think that the first person in trouble for a supreme court case should just get a warning and be free to go. Like how was I supposed to know allat?

  • Is it not a contradiction? Why don't we see hogs ripping each others faces off fighting about whether labor discipline or squeezing more profit out is more important?

  • Oh please, you really think the US would just go around funding violent right wingers just because they're anti-communist?

  • Drake watching the half time show when Kendrick looks at the camera and goes "Say Drake..."

  • I hear that in chess, the GMs "try" to keep it civil and make accusations and complaints vague. Which means this was so egregious that it made Hikaru break the facade and outright say that Kramnik can rot in hell

  • It was really heroic of those guys to go kill Nazis, but it's not good to have D-Days. We should not strive for D-Day toughness. Especially anymore where you have drones, snipers, and Minecraft redstone contraptions everywhere. Like getting sober is a heroic thing to do, especially as a struggle, but never abusing alcohol in the first place would likely have been gentler on the soul. I only bring up the example to say that not having Nazis in power in the first place means not having to rouse an army to resist them and then there wouldn't be a multi-country wide, multi-generational psychological scar about having to be shot at in a boat. We'd be better off not ever having to know what it's like firsthand. I've never broken my leg and I don't need to experience it myself to understand it's something to avoid if I can help it.

And if I'm being real, if I had literally no choice, I suppose I'm capable of shitting myself in a boat, getting out, and getting shot. It's not like it's a physically demanding thing to die and if you don't then you were what? Sitting in a hole? Running up the beach with a gun? You could be part of the writhing mass of damned poor souls. But, again, what if we just didn't damn souls? That's the sad and horrible part of d-day. It's not like more masculine energy was going to deflect the bullets and explosions

  • nurse ties a band around my arm no it's totally cool! I just thought... well no I mean I'm glad I can help. Do you uhh... need anything~ else after this or?.. oh I can just leave? For sure for sure, thanks.

  • I wish we got to witness him become gray and wrinkly. He should have been able to hold a lifetime of memories about the chess world for youngins to hear about. And instead he's gone and it's a tragedy.

It's not an appropriate part of the grieving process (but what is when I'm a stranger behind a keyboard talking about someone I watched on the Internet?) but I imagine some young kid who's, for one reason or another, sad about their inheritance (race, gender, etc.) and thinks they could never make it in chess (or insert your choice here). And then you have someone who was once world class look at them and get flooded with memories of counter-examples.

I wish they got to sing his praises while he was still alive.

  • RIP to chess grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky

    It's so fucking cringe.

  • bit idea: "I didn't see Jesus making advertisements in the bible"

  • One Piece fixes this sort of thing.

  • If I'm coming out of high school and thrust into a horrible position like that without ever being able to google 'surplus labor value' and only knowing politics because of a textbook maybe I can divine theory out of thin air. Because obviously this sucks and maybe I'm confused about why someone would even bother. I would have certainly depended on the guidance of someone more knowledgeable than me to ever find it in myself to do anything besides what I'm told or folding under pressure. I propose there's not much use in pontificating how I could point a finger at an 18 year old and say they fucked up in their decision making because they didn't get much agency or expression in the chaos, the force of empire, their hormones, and their soup for brains. I think the more interesting thing is to contemplate how important it is that a charismatic leftist is there when push comes to shove to show that there is an option besides barbarism.
