  • When I google "isreal poll democrats" my first result is a gallup poll titled

"32% in U.S. Back Israel's Military Action in Gaza, a New Low". It also features a graph separated by party affiliation. It shows that Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand made the classic error of misreading the chart title. You see, 8% of Democrats, 1 out of every 10, are pro-

  • I agree that my attractiveness works on a gradient depending on my location. There are places I can do no wrong and there are places where I can do no right. It digs at a core insecurity of mine: are you even listening to me?

  • I just think about it like jumping into the cold water of a pool. Like it sucks for a second and if it chronically sucks YOU CAN LEAVE! HIT DA BRICKS!

I also remember that I'm LITERALLY WDYMP and most of the things that come up are going to be things I can deal with. When you jump in and start doing a thing your obstacles become much more corporeal than they are existential. If they're corporeal, you can line em up and knock em down.

If I were better I'd be more like @Awoo@hexbear.net and think it through and metabolize situations into little parts with little plans. So you're not starting a jiu jitsu journey where you expose yourself to the possibility of injury and social difficulties, you're checking the hours -> showing up while they're open -> saying hi -> scheduling a class -> showing up to a class with good hygiene. If a journey comes out of such tiny little steps, great, if not then ball up top.

  • I'm always in awe of how everything the US government does is "this dog shit thing? It's good, actually"

  • My partner broke up with me without warning or reason which sucks. Other than that I'm thinking I might get my BJJ black belt here in a couple months which is really really exciting. You take the good with the bad

  • Bit idea: open source the specs for every piece needed for the new Lego via 3D printer and the instructions for building them.

  • Why don't we do it for anyone with a diagnosed mental illness? Or anyone who uses a psychiatrist? Fuck it, a therapist. Anyone who has ever scored too high on the depression index during a routine check up! Anybody with a speeding ticket. An AI will check your socials during a background check to see if you've ever been too mean or sad. What's that? The AI guy donated 30 billion dollars to the RNC and now political opinions are grounds for being disarmed?

It's bananas to single out trans people for something like this. It harkens back to how every injustice they want to do with prisoners starts with pedophiles because of their infamy or how every overreach of privacy is to protect children. It's just wanting to do something fucked up and then finding post hoc justification - usually with unpopular people first.

Imagine if even once in any occasion anyone bothered to rethink their objectives because of that one Holocaust poem.

  • Well, it would depend entirely on the computer and how well she handles it gor how long it will last. Linux would be totally fine for basic Internet stuff

  • It's probably because scorpions never change their nature

  • Chad Hominem - we might be owned

  • Socialist bit idea to bridge the gap from capitalism to communism: collect coins in augmented reality by doing chores and getting re-educated that can be converted to money for sports betting. The government has to subsidize the gambling

  • Well then it's just idiosyncratic. Unless you make a claim it's not really science.

  • HOLD ME NOW

I'M 6 FEET FROM THE EDGE AND IM THINKIN

    MAYBE 6 FEET

    AINT SO FAR DOWN

  • What if instead of tapping into a collective discontent and anger we just... didn't?! What if the most profound part of Trump's rise just... wasn't important?!

I caught that shit in college (or post I don't want to count) with passive awareness in politics (it radicalized me). Turns out my passive perception was already more perceptive than people like those in the US political consultancy need in their entire life while I was smoking weed every day.

They should pay me 3 million dollars to tell them that this plan is DOA, can only work in spite of their effort, and that if they wanted to dunk an election like a Fischer Price basketball hoop they could just listen to the polls and say what people want to hear. They wouldn't even need to follow through, they could do the

    thing again.

  • Yeah, Chapter 1 of the first book is

“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’ … God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”

So it's like how could the exploitation of natural resources possibly produce consequences? It would be sinful not to be fruitful. If instead they were asked to be a steward of the living creatures they'd just ignore it though

  • poop god poop god

  • Super simple stuff. Doing good stuff is... le good!

  • I would like people to have a premium for doing sucky jobs. I also think the idea that the job is going to suck no matter what is loser-thinking. Give them better tools, replace hard to clean toilet fixtures with easier to clean ones over time, ultimately create bathroom bots over a long period. Get the automation ready for when someone creates the blueprints to the anti-torment nexus.
