  • MAJOR POKEMON UPDATE: I have remembered how much I fucking love Scizor.

That means my canonical team is now:

    Alolan Raichu

    Scizor

Mew (fucks with me cause of my spirit)

    Slowbro

    Medicham

    Dusknoir

Thank you for your attention on the matter

  • Bible belt father deriding a Latino person for being perverted:

He's an hombre with a libido unquencho

  • Bit idea: call them a bunch of vullies (vulnerable bullies). It goes viral. When they try and get you on some pre-crime bullshit say that you called them "bullies" and bemoan how thin their skin is and how it's no wonder they need every handout in the world

  • Gif of Dr. Strange looking at 14 million possibilities the possibilities

Me deciding on the bit that would be most emasculating for ice agents when you call them vulnerable.

You gotta imagine how thin skinned they must be to be willing to be ice in the first place. Between the masks, not identifying, and being designated vulnerable there's gotta be a generational zinger somewhere in there.

My analysis? It's gotta start with something innocuous like a slur akin to clanker - something metabolizable, something Colbert can say. Then someone has to get an ally oop where they get a play on words live on camera upsetting one of em

  • I've written 3 novels, I have a WIP and probably double that in terms of potential storylines that I mapped out. I've had an easier time getting strangers to say "I love you" (and back again) than I have getting someone to read 15 pages of what I've written. It's like there's an unbreakable wall between me thinking something is cool and getting someone to consider it.

But, for what it's worth, my interest in fantasy novels ignited in me the ability to read novels written by others. It's something I cheated my way through in school to my own deficit. It's also gotten me one (1) friend who I regularly hang out with. It got me into a writer's critique group which has taught me about the craft of authorship as opposed to writing aimlessly without consideration for prose, pacing, and narrative. I'm lying if I tell you that I don't hope to use the skill of narrative structure to get people to give a shit about things.

So while I never expect to do more than touch the butt and say that I've sold a book and thereby call myself "a published author," making a friend or two and reading is more than nothing.

  • There was a One Piece sub from over a decade ago that took a second at the beginning of the episode to tell me how important the concept of "nakama" was to the series. The episode in question was when Luffy's beating Arlong's ass and the moment wouldn't have made much sense if Luffy proceeded to scream "YOU ARE MY FRIENDDDDD!!!"

  • Asking to be sent to an American prison to hang out with my comrades

  • Just the idea that a piece of art needs to not be anti-marriage is so ridiculous. What the fuck are you talking about? You want everything to be literal propaganda? What the fuck are we doing here?

  • There's no way because you chose to be there in the sport. Their bastardity is superceded by if it sucks, hit da bricks!

There are foundations that can suck who make shitty rule changes. But if your Pokemon TCG ref is just following orders and you chose to be there it's whatever to me

  • I had no idea what I was going to go see except the title. It was a masterwork of narrative in the sense that every moment was suspenseful. Like I was emotionally being wrung dry.

I think the politics were pretty good. Short of straight up espousing ML (or ever exploring the philosophy of the revolutionaries) to appease me, they showed struggle against empire. The revolutionaries were a little childish, worst of it being someone was all "this is vocal violence against me" over a phone call to an exasperated Leo. But in terms of scathing criticism it was directed at the US government and the armed losers & racists that propagate it. It was pro-protest and it was pro-community. I would call it defanged leftism presented for narrative purposes.

I'm a cheap sell on movies because I seldom watch them so I compare them to slop. My friends highlighted how I couldn't name 3 directors but I could tell you about how in Pokemon the Movie 2000 it was the second movie, about Lugia, and a flute-girl totally kisses Ash. That being said OBAA had this really tight grasp on dramatic irony. It had a thoughtful score that elevated the scenes and it's notable absence helped characterize some people.

It made me feel a little less isolated in my shock and horror about the moment. It was good.

  • Guy who comes out of One Battle After Another convinced that Lockjaw is someone to emulate just like Joker and Patrick Bateman

  • To eat brains. That's why I can't hang out with liberals

  • I would be laughing my entire afterlife if I got to read that as my headstone as I rose to heaven

  • Hamas are a bunch of liberals?!

  • Billions must cast off their chains and work together

  • I gotta say, I think Super Mario 64 is my favorite Bananza-like

  • bit idea: wreck conservatives by bemoaning purity testing.

  • “This investment embodies Silver Lake’s mission to partner with exceptional management teams at the highest quality companies. EA is a special company: a global leader in interactive entertainment, anchored by its premier sports franchise, with accelerating revenue growth and strong and scaling free cash flow. We are honored to invest and partner with Andrew – an extraordinary CEO who has doubled revenue, nearly tripled EBITDA, and driven a fivefold increase in market cap during his tenure,

The whole article sounds like this. It's fucking written in thieves' cant. But basically Saudi Arabia wants to infini-profit off of video games and paid more for a company in cash than anyone's ever paid cash for before. Can't imagine that means they'll put more sovl into the games. It's probably more gacha.

s have really taken center stage as of late

  • That's what I'm saying. You can get more peanuts than you'd need for the entire flight if you just had gumption.

I got a thing of honey roasted peanuts for the first time cause I realized I had them on a plane and liked them
