I checked and apparently it was there before, there's actually an interesting story behind it:
So, the first time it was built (by Ibrahim or Abraham) it was much more rectangular. You see the small white wall at its side? That part was included in the Kaabah. Also it was about half as tall as it is now and the door was lower to the ground (like real doors) .
Then after many centuries, there was a flood (since Makkah is a valley). In the same time frame, there was a fire. Both of these and its age caused the structure of the Kaabah to be worn out. So, the people of Makkah, the Quraish tribe, decided to rebuild the foundations.
At this time, coincidentally, there was a shipwreck of a vessel at the nearby port city of Jeddah carrying a lot of building materials and engineers to build a church in Yemen. So, all the materials was being sold to the highest bidder and the engineers were willing to work (to get enough money to go back presumably).
The Quraish pooled their money and bought all the things they could collectively afford. They realized that there wasn’t enough material to cover all of the old foundation. So, they decided to make the design shorter and build a small wall to mark the rest of it in hopes that in the future they could build the rest of it when they got enough money and materials. They also built the door higher up perhaps to prevent floodwater from reaching it or to restrict access to the inside.
That's weird, can't find it on F-Droid either but on Play it's called: "Summit for Lemmy". The icon is an orange pyramid with a blue tip.
Try summit! I've tried Boost, Connect, Summit, Thunder and Voyager but only Summit checked all of those boxes:
- Feature complete (shows crossposts, community descriptions)
- Customizable enough (layout, post appearance, show upvotes and downvotes instead of sum)
- Aesthetical design (completely black theme, animations)
- Good user experience (gestures, automatic mark as read)
Only con I can think of right now is that the settings page is a bit cluttered and confusing.

Doubling down on Reaper: I’ve tried other DAWs before, but none of them ever felt as natural to me as Reaper. I wouldn’t recommend the Flatpak version, though—I could never get it to work with plugins, although that might just be me. On Linux, you can simply download the install script from the website, which makes installing and uninstalling Reaper just as easy.

Look at the different relative angles between mouth and eyes in each picture. In the real image the angle of the eyes is very similar to the angle of the mouth and therefore the distance between the left eye and left side of mouth is bigger creating a more "shocked" looking expression, like you described it as "Are you seeing this shit?". While in the drawn image the mouth is more angled therefore the smiling is more pronounced.
I read that. But the way the article is written suggests that the workaround they're implying is to buy YouTube premium. I am not per se against YT premium, after all its normal business to take money and serve a product, but what my biggest cons are
- The price
- I already use all of the mentioned premium features and more but for free
For example: YT music -> ReVanced (background play, no ads) YT App -> ReVanced (no ads, Sponsorblock, no shorts) YT on browser -> Extensions (uBlock, Sponsorblock, block yt shorts)
If I were to pay for premium and use the regular app, I would lose that functionality and 130€ per year. This money would support a company whose business model involves extensive collection of personal data, which is then sold to third parties, effectively contributing to the global surveillance infrastructure.
I would rather not use YouTube than pay for it.

Bin zwar kein Jurist aber ich würde vermuten, dass du beweisen können müsstest, dass der Markt dich bewusst falsch verdächtigt hat. Was wiederum sehr schwer bis unmöglich sein wird. Verdächtigung ist schließlich nur eine Verdächtigung, da steckt ja drin, dass die falsch liegen können.
Aber das ist doch Wunschdenken, man kann nicht erwarten keine Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten, wenn man nun mal auffällig ist.
Für den Fall, dass die Kommentare, die man bekommt abfällig sind, stimme ich dir zu, dass die Kommentare unangebracht sind. Allerdings ist das eine zusätzliche Annahme, die du gemacht hast und worüber ich gar keine Aussage getätigt habe. Denn ich habe nur von Fragen gesprochen die gestellt werden könnten.

Ah, ne so meinte ich das gar nicht, tut mir leid für die verwirrende Schreibweise. Ich hätte das nicht betonen sollen, weil was ich meine gilt nur für den negativ fall, falls OP angesprochen wird, dass sie es nicht will.
Weil für mich ist klar, dass wenn ich mich auffällig kleide, dass ich darauf angesprochen werde. Wenn ich somit nicht auf mein aussehen angesprochen werden will, dann kleide ich mich auch nicht auffällig. So meinte ich das. Hoffe jetzt ist's klar.
Ah verstehe, danke für die Klarstellung. Da hat mir wohl einiges an Kontext gefehlt. Jetzt kann ich das ganze etwas besser nachvollziehen.
Ein coming out bei der Generalversammlung hört sich echt mutig an. Ich weiß nicht was sonst bei so einer Generalversammlung besprochen wird aber ich würde vermutlich davon abneigen dort so persönliche Dinge anzusprechen. Falls ich dir hier einen Tipp geben darf, wie ich damit umgehen würde: Ich würde lediglich meinen engeren Freunden direkt mitteilen, was Sache ist und dem erweiterten Freundeskreis nur auf Nachfrage. Falls Gerüchte aufkommen hat man dann einen effizienten Filter um echte von falschen Freunden zu unterscheiden. Was der Rest im Dorf denkt wäre mir vermutlich egal.
Kannste ja schauen ob und wie das in deinem Fall anwendbar ist. Ansonsten viel Erfolg!
Ja stimmt, dass OP keinem Normbild entsprechen will, da stimme ich dir zu, das hab ich vorher nicht gesehen. Allerdings finde ich es eine unrealistische Erwartung an einen Freundeskreis keine Fragen zu stellen, wenn man selbst nicht bereit ist Aufklärung zu leisten. So wie ich mir die Situation im Kopf vorstelle, haben einige Personen Fragen gestellt und OP hat eine Ausrede geliefert, statt die Wahrheit zu sagen und beschwert sich jetzt hier darüber dass Fragen gestellt wurden. Vielleicht hab ich hier eine Vorgeschichte nicht mitbekommen, aber was wäre so falsch daran einfach die Wahrheit zu sagen und in wie fern ist es unerwartet gewesen, dass Fragen gestellt wurden?

Weil so wie sich das für mich anhört scheint es von deinem sonstigen Aussehen her eher ungewöhnlich zu wirken wenn du Nagellack trägst. Dass bei einem ungewöhnlichem aussehen Fragen auftauchen klingt in so fern für mich ganz normal und ist meiner Meinung nach etwas womit man leben muss.
Dass dir die ausrede in dem Moment eingefallen ist mag ja gut funktioniert haben, ist wenn du mich fragst aber keine nachhaltige Lösung, zumal du nochmal mit Nagellack rausgehen willst.
Aus deinem kurzen Text her natürlich nicht viel über dich sagen, aber es klingt für mich danach als hättest du einen inneren Konflikt am laufen, der noch nicht ganz geklärt ist. Einerseits willst du anderen mitteilen, dass dir Nagellack an dir gefällt, aber andererseits möchtest du immer noch einem Normbild entsprechen. Ob und was noch mehr da hinter steckt kann ich jetzt nicht sagen aber das weißt du hoffentlich für dich.
