  • I can greatly recommend Reaper to you, in case Ableton + Wine doesn't work out.

I only recently got into music making as a hobby so my overall perspective might be limited, but other DAWs I tried included:

    • Ardour
    • Bitwig
    • LMMS
    • Zrythm

I settled with Reaper bc of it's customizability, freedom in workflow and cheap price without compromising in pro features. It's actually completely free as long as you are evaluating buying it, which is up to you for how long. And the customizability is off the charts compared to any other DAW.

But what really sold Reaper to me was the lack of hurdles that got into my way of learning to make music.

    Have fun

  • Durchaus

  • Rust community might be phlegm but the language itself should be yellow bile, while c++ should be phlegm.

    IMO

  • Hab mal spaßeshalber im code den check entfernt, der verhindert dass Ergebnisse angezeigt werden wenn man überall neutral angibt

Etwas interessanter wird's wenn man jede These überspringt:

  • Competition. It's all about competition between companies. In highly saturated markets ads serve to build brand recognition and are seen as long term investment to gain market share. Good example is TikTok. The social media market is very much saturated and competition very high, so TikTok's strategy was to buy every ad they could to create brand recognition, which in turn helped gaining market share.

So I don't think the ad business is a bubble at all, it's just that the usefulness and function depends on the market a company competes within.

  • I agree, the voters wouldn't disappear but it would take time for them to find a new party to vote for. The time difference might be worth it.

  • Also if you check your Google Photos privacy settings there is a toggle for "Approximate missing locations" which tells me that Google is most definitely also using private images as training data and not only street view.

  • Equality in rust is value equality per default, that's what these traits are for. If you want to check pointer equality you'd use the std::ptr::eq function to check if two pointers are equal, which is rather rare in practice. You can also implement the PartialEq trait yourself if you need custom equality checks.

  • Maybe you have downloaded the wrong APK, there are some bad actors providing "pre built YouTube Revanced APKs". Be sure to only download the Revanced Manager from https://revanced.app/ and the unpatched YT APK (version should match the recommended one in the manager) from a trusted source like apkpure etc.

  • Easier said than done:

    1. Admit there's a problem
    2. Find a sustainable solution
    3. Fight for the solution
    4. Enjoy a better society

I think many people don’t realize they focus too much on short-term issues, which are actually symptoms of deeper systemic problems. For instance, the two-party system in the US stems from election campaigns not being publicly funded and also the "winner-takes-all" electoral system instead of proportional representation. I would bet you already know about these issues but still I don't see them being discussed in media and that's where every big change must begin. And that's also what I think should answer your question. Instead of spreading awareness of the current problems at hand, you should focus on the deep issues and instead spread awareness of them. That's my opinion at least.

  • Yeah and I'd say these people left are exactly those Elon wants, he doesn't want white guys in their 50s, he wants obedient young guys.

  • Not trying to defend him, but I thought the reasoning behind doing that was to get the least obedient people to leave the company so that there won't be a delayed push back from the employees.

  • Bruh, I misread the title at first and thought Big Oil was sentenced but the reality is just sad and angering.

    Easy choice

  • Oh God the horrors. The only part of these errors I ever remembered was "basic_string" everything else was the syntactic gibberish you wonderfully demonstrated.

  • Nope, they replaced an asterisk with an arrow!

  • Human brains aren't 1 bit models. Far from it actually, I am not an expert though but I know that neurons in the brain encode different signal strengths in their firing frequency.

  • "Select the URL that answers the question most appropriately"

  • You have to visit a different search engine. And while the tab is open it appears in the list of selectable search engines. At least that is how I set up searxng as my default se.
