  • I was going to make a snarky comment about this obviously being true due to different infrastructure priorities in the EU vs the US. The article is right, though, about the deficiencies in US auto standards and their likely impact if applied to Europe.

  • I think most democrats have been voting for democrats while wishing they were more left. Voting for democrats hasn't been about liking the candidates. It's been more about disliking the opposing candidates.

  • Oh, I have no doubt that the Leavitt's might use ICE as a weapon against someone inconvenient. The article makes nothing clear, though.

  • Maybe not even that. Former girlfriend of Leavitt's brother? Former one-night-stand of Leavitt's brother? The article is unclear in a way that is either purposeful or ignorant. I'm not sure which.

  • I guess you need reading skills in addition to social skills. Again, I didn't say that I camp in the middle lane. I get frustrated by those who do. I just gave what I assume to be the logic used by people who do camp in the middle lane.

Go watch yourself masturbate in a mirror so you can give misery to someone who deserves it.

  • The woman is Leavitt's nephew's mother but is estranged from her child. She has no real relationship to Leavitt.

The real story here is that she was a DACA kid with one arrest for battery, the legal outcome of which is unclear. Obviously "the worst of the worst".

  • I didn't say I do that. I'm the guy getting frustrated behind them. I also don't go around calling strangers cunts you fucking asshole.

Edit: Oh, I see, from your comment history it seems that you're just a miserable cunt yourself. Maybe go work on your people skills.

  • I think the logic is that they're not in the left lane so there is room to go around, and they're not in the right lane so they don't need to work to manage merges every time there is an on-ramp. The middle lane is a safe middle-ground where you're safe from most merges and where you shouldn't annoy the faster traffic too much.

  • Why do these dumb fucks pretend they haven't seen the video? They always do this if they don't want to address an issue. They say "well, I have been busy and haven't heard the MOST IMPORTANT NEWS OF THE DAY" as though it's okay to be grossly uninformed. As though their staffers didn't bring it to their attention immediately. They treat us like morons. It's just too bad so many of us are...

  • It probably has more to do with other countries adding terrifs on lumber exports in response. Maybe it's the cost of importing parts and materials needed for the process, though.

  • My city made busses free but they only run like once per hour so it's still impossible to efficiently use the system. Unfortunately it's not just about cost. It's also about usability.

  • These are definitely not pigeons.

  • I like my Subaru if that helps.

  • Here's the next argument from the right: The CA redraw is in response to a racial redraw, therefor it is also based on race and therefor unconstitutional.

  • I wonder if courts would uphold the provisions against discharge through bankruptcy after this. Probably but I feel like they shouldn't.

  • Two questions:

    1. Why would we think otherwise considering that everything in the universe seems to rotate from galactic clusters to galaxies to black holes to stars to planets to the brains of physicists trying to reconcile relativity and quantum?
    2. Does the math actually work out? If so, is there a known constant for the angular momentum of the universe that would explain what we're seeing?
  • I hope we fall a few votes short of veto-proof. Then Trump vetos. Then we get a veto-proof vote. Maybe that's asking for too much, though.

  • Oh, that person is way too alpha for therapy.

  • I would think that all of the school officials could be brought up on charges of failing to report as mandatory reporters.
