Gamer™

I have commited the Num-Code for ™ to muscle memory.

Other interests include bicycles, bread making and DIY. I do own a 3D-printer and adore the Nintendo 3ds.

  • This is a clear example of miscommunication.

Banning all cars from the bridge was not meant as a serious proposal, but just to show that these people do not care about pollution at all.

Meanwhile, you seem to have taken that proposal as serious and that it was calling to ban cars everywhere, instead of just one bridge. Banning cars everywhere is a fringe opinion even here, and I think no one ever suggested you have to "move stuff" with cargo bikes and public transport exclusively. On top of that, I personally don't quite agree with the way you said public transport is "underdeveloped". Yes there are specific addresses you can barely reach pretty much everywhere, but you comment reads as any specific address can't be reached. I think we can expect people to walk a few hundred yards to a bus stop.

Wrong thing to say at the wrong place, do better next time.

  • I believe you are acting way too definitive about something rather unknowable.

For example, what is Aphantasia then?

  • I'm in the "inner monologue" camp. Most of what I think materialises as thought words. I don't have to move anything in my throat to do that unlike OP though, I can think in words without mumbling to myself.

But I know the voice can't be all. It's difficult for me to think in words while actively saying something, but I can have new thoughts while speaking. Sometimes, I get interrupted in thinking mid-sentence, but then I return to that sentence to finish it because... it's just satisfying? It's not that I learn anything new.

I feel like I don't have very much imagination any more. Its hard to produce images in my mind, not impossible but I do have to concentrate - remembering images is easier.

Weirdly, way harder to me: imagining a voice. Inner voice is what I sound like to myself, I can remember and replay songs and quotes as I heard them, but having any voice say anything is hard, especially female voices. Went through some examples in my head couldn't make anyone say anything - until I thought to make different tf2 mercs sing "Oh Canada", that somehow worked despite me definitely not having heard that before. Brains are weird.

  • I've seen this type of comment quite a lot here, and regardless of if you meant it that way I think it needs to be said for the benefit of all:

Bad road design does not excuse speeding.

Yes, changing the design is the more effective way to reduce the speed of traffic to a safe level. But just because the design was bad does not mean drivers can drive whatever feels right to them. The drivers still have a personal responsibility to drive safely, which in most cases means the same speed as the other vehicles, which means the speed limit bc that's the only one everyone can agree on.

If the road design tempts you to sin, cut off your engine.

  • Diese "kühlsten Sommer unserer Zukunft" gehen mir langsam auf die Nerven, jemand sollte vermutlich was dagegen machen.

  • OpenTTD. Trains go vroom.

Had it on my radar for a while, didn't think I would like it this much. Boy was I wrong, my sleep is as badly scheduled as my trains.

  • If east Germany loves Putin so much, let Russia rule them once more.

I'm not fighting Russia for them. No matter how hopeless the economic situation, they made their bed and can now lie in it.

And to be honest CDU politicians aren't much better. In the 6 months they have shown once more that their only loyalties are to the party and the stock market, not the country or the people.

  • Discord, YouTube and Twitch. Even if I don't count 1 because I don't really build any online presence, all 3 together probably count as having mainstream social media no matter how strict the definition.

  • I don’t fully agree that Israel is violating international law. When a country’s existence is being questioned by Iran or Hamas, it’s not so easy to respond strictly within the framework of international law,

So if you read international law strictly, it is a violation of it she just disagrees with? She was imo better than our current ICC-ignoring Merz, but come on.

People should reflect how they reacted to this article of Germany's options to develop nukes from 3 months ago. While seen as "scummy", I doubt anyone would accept a preemptive strike on countries doing what the article calls "nuclear hedging".

  • This moment is when I realised the great loss of the closure of lemee, as we no longer can look at how c/Europe reacted to the article "Nuclear bomb for Germany" 3 months ago.

If I remember correctly, like the article claims, "nuclear hedging" was seen as scummy way around the NPT, not a direct violation of it.

Please don't see me as arguing "He didn't, and if he did it wasn't that bad"- I'm simply a different person from the one you argued before.

  • For purely economic reasons, the less often I need to buy it, the more I allow myself to splurge.

So vegetables and my go to drink I consume everyday are bought the absolute cheapest, but that spice blend for those veggies lasts me months so I really don't care if there's a cheaper alternative.

Of course, expensiveness is measured per kg/litre, paying a bit more up front is always worth it if it means a lower price per kg (if you can consume it before it goes bad).

  • Never heard that argument.

When I mention any transport be free, the only thing people care about is "But won't it be overrun with the undesirables?", the last part being described with various levels of political correctness.

And while it might be male privilege that I don't find the feeling of security a particularly big problem, some people do reject it on the basis of giving homeless people temporary shelter alone. Fuck those guys.

I don't know how this fits into any off this, but "gendered bus routes" popped into my head. This is definitely something in our society taken to the absurd, but I'm not sure what.
