  • Völkerrecht gilt halt für alle, so sehr wir die Regierung im Betroffendem Staat auch hassen.

    Wenn wir weiterhin jederzeit den Begriff "völkerrechtswidrig" Putin wegen der Ukraine an die Nase klatschen wollen, muss das genauso konsequent hier bei Israel/USA passieren. Wer's nicht macht glaubt nur ans Völkerrecht wenn's in die Politik passt.

  • Was nicht alles in der Zeitung landet. Dieser große Textblock gefolgt vom ungefährem Wert hat mich dann doch zum Schmunzeln gebracht.

    Mensch, was machen wir noch hier? Schmeißt diese Gesellschaft weg und startet nochmal von vorn, Gerangel und Zeitungsartikel für unter 10€. Mir wurde das 5 Fache in meiner Schulzeit entwendet, und ich habe nie Texte darüber in irgendwelchen Medien veröffentlicht. Kevin, ich weiß dass du es warst!

  • I think the point is that she's just a normal women, sharing uncontroversial articles. And there is this other half of the couple you just wonder about how someone could possibly see something in let alone put up with him.

    I'm personally reminded of the parents of a childhood acquaintance, with a nice mom and a father that couldn't even be asked to close the bathroom door when guest were there.

  • Hängt halt von der Definition ab. Afrika ist wie erwähnt halt auch noch Teil "Afroeurasiens", und da eine Grenze durch Ägypten zu ziehen, weil "ist ja wirklich schmall die Verbindung", ist halt genauso willkürlich wie Europa nicht von Asien zu trennen, oder Sylt von Eurasien.

    Europa ist ein Kontinent, oder Erdteil, weil die meisten Leute das über die im Artikel genannte Geschichte definieren.

  • This isn't even a tariffs issue... well, maybe not, anyway. The same thing happened in Germany at least.

    Over here, the reason potatoes are literally being given out for free is that the potato harvest was so bountiful, the supply so high, that the price distributors and supermarkets pay for them was just not worth the effort for a lot of farms. We literally produced too many potatoes for Capitalism to handle. I heard onions were similarly high in supply, so they were literally sold as biomass for energy production.

    Remember this when you see someone begging for food. We could feed them, but if we can't profit of it we won't.

  • The article states that the "Intelligent Speed Assistance devices" are supposed to prevent drivers from driving more than 5 mph over the speed limit. So I'm fairly certain GPS and/or Road Sign Information systems will be used.

  • GPS Data. Most dedicated navigation systems have the speed limit data in their maps for the last decade or so. They're probably also going to add the Road sign information systems that newer cars have.
