Other interests include bicycles, bread making and DIY. I do own a 3D-printer and adore the Nintendo 3ds.

  • Heute lag mir nicht. Kettenschloss vom E-Fahrrad hat irgentwie das Einriegelungsteil verloren und war dann komplett verbogen, bevor ich's chekte. Also musste ich den Rückweg ohne Kette zurück. Das ging dann wegen des Vorderradmottors dennoch ohne es den ganzen Weg schieben zu müssen, auch wenn das natürlich nicht gut für den ist.

    Also los mit dem E-Roller... E-Scooter? E-Moped? (Kann sich mal eine eindeutige Bezeichnung für die Dinger durchsetzten?)... Kleinkraftrad zum Fahrradladen, und Ich lege mich aufgrund der Nässe bei der ersten Kreuzung hin. Kann mir immer noch nicht ganz erklären, wie das zustande kam, da Ich warten musste, war ich keine 3 Sekunden vorher im Stillstand, also fuhr ich vermutlich nicht mal zu schnell.

    Schein aber wieder Glück im Unglück gehabt zu haben, nur Schürfwunden, der Roller fuhr nirgends gegen, mein Fuß war nicht eingeklemmt worden, und der eine Riss in meiner Jacke scheint doch relativ flickbar. Selbst die Kratzer am Motorroller sind nur minderer Art. Sollte dennoch mal Führerscheinklasse AM spezifische Tipps fürs unfallfreie Fahren nochmal angucken.

  • "Chicken" als Geschmacksrichtung kann ja auf alles mögliche dann angewendet werden. Auch wenn das zur Zeit wenig wirtschaftlichen Sinn macht, ist es dennoch blöde wenn man als Jude oder Muslim nach "Beef flavoured nuggets" greift und da Schwein drinn ist. Oder halt Hindu beim Kauf von "Bacon" mit Rind. Und Wirtschaftlichkeit ändert sich ja ab und zu.

    Wenn die Tierersatzproduktbranche kreativ mit den Geschmacksbezeichnungen werden darf, dann wird die Fleischbranche nicht weit hinterher sein. Und da ist das dann nicht mit einem großen V gekennzeichnet.

  • I invite anyone who dreams of self sufficiency to start by planting exactly 1 row of chard. I tried it once after it was mentioned in an article in a gardening magazine. The article recommended, if you want to produce literally all your vegetables yourself that you plant 8 rows of chard.

    The article didn't lie, chard is ridiculously space efficient, easy for beginners and continuously produces leaves for harvest. I had maybe 6 big, healthy plants and was sick of chard just 1 week later. I just let them shoot and flower as they now owned that dirt.

    Basically, Krafton claims that the 3 founders they fired did not do their job in overseeing the project, leading to a game without any direction. Since the game would not meet their standards, they decided to rework a lot and push the release date back.

    This is an official statement of a company, meaning they can be (and if I read it correctly have been) sued for slander should they lie here. So a legal department looked over this and decided "Yep, we can claim that they abandoned responsibilities, we can prove that in court". Whether or not this is actually true or just an attempt to regain public opinion, it's a real shitshow.

  • Jo, ist dann nur blöd wenn man ne Kleinigkeit vom letzten Einkauf in der Tasche vergessen hat. Eventuell Stress mit der Kasse oder doppelt bezahlen, je nachdem, wem das und wem das nicht auffällt.

    Gibt halt doch schon Hausregeln bei vielen Märkten dafür. Ich persönlich nehme meinen Rucksack ab und trage den halb offen in der Hand, wenn mir ein Korb zu viel Mühe machen würde, hatte damit nie Probleme. Zugegebenermaßen, ich pass nicht ins "Schema" und den Ladenbesitzer kennt man vom Dorffest, das machts natürlich einfacher.

    This article is about citizen group calling for a bike lane to be turned back into car lane. You know about induced demand yet? We here can't stop telling people about it. Well, there is an inverse effect just a bit lower called "reduced demand" in the article. Removing a car lane can increase the flow of traffic down the line - provided there are viable alternatives to driving.

    So yes, removing a bike lane to add another to cars is bad, even if it was a car lane before. Discouraging driving by removing car lanes is a good way to de-clog this bridge.

    And your aversion to public transport is exactly the point: Do you think maybe the buses are always late because a bridge like that has 50,000 cars bumper to bumper idling on it and blocking traffic? Do you think that there aren't enough bus stops nearby because not enough people use the existing ones?

    A single bus takes up 2 cars worth of space and transports 50 times the people. Having functional public transport is way better than adding another lane when the goal is to increase capacity of the bridge or reducing pollution. We should get more people to use them. It's better for them too, since they are now not forced to drive and can check their phone or read books during that time.

    No one wants the buses you are describing, but that's exactly why we need to invest more in public transit and don't listen to car advocates wanting "just one more lane™". There are enough cities around the world with good transit options, where people want to take the bus or tram or bike, not because of "culture" but because they simply are the best option. And you won't get there by adding another lane for cars.

    P.S.: Do you also visit gay bars and get "censored" when there are no women there? No one's forcing you to comment and not being open to learn is unwelcome here. Have you at least read the rules?
