  • The UK is imprisoning thousands for their tweets.

What an absolute loads of bollocks.

There has recently been 1 woman jailed for her tweets where she admitted to inciting violence, not because of free speech issues.

These libertarian wankers love citing that sole case (and make out that it's "thousands, I tell ya!") but will overlook that several Just Stop Oil protesters were jailed for 4 years just for holding a zoom call and anti-genocide protesters are being arrested and charged with terrorism offences just for writing on a bit of cardboard.

  • The weird part is having scan-to-donate QR codes on their name badges

No, the only thing about it is its surprising that it took them this long to do it.

  • Is it your first day living under capitalism?

You've lived your entire life under it and most of your adult life, if not all of it under late stage capitalism and try you still act surprised at the commodification process.

The only reason you would think this is "weird" and out of the 'ordinary' is because inside your head your live in a fantasy idealised version of what you perceive the world to be and it really isn't like that at all.

Maybe you think if you just vote for the right candidate and get the right party into power, the world can be pulled back from the 'brink'.

    Wake up, you're already dead!

  • I don't think she has enough of a personality to take a stand and if she did, it would be incredibly generic.

  • Her parents were bankers who moved to Nashville and literally bankrolled her career.

She was always part of the 1%. Her music is vacuous and empty.

She certainly didn't achieve anything on her own merits

You youngsters always want to skip to the end when there's plenty of killing fascists along the way!

  • This is typical of Starmer: an empty vacuous authoritarian solution to an already solved problem.

It will do nothing to stop undocumented workers from being exploited by unscrupulous employers who will still pay them a pittance in cash but will add to the already massive surveillance state, and with the inevitable mission creep, it will end up being required for innocuous day to day tasks such as getting prescriptions, seeing medical services, possible even things such as purchasing travel or alcohol.

Then you can imagine what happens if someone ID is deactivated, accidentally or on purpose.

With future govts, what if one of them wants to prosecute it's political opponents?

It's just the most stupid idea from a guy that is a completely lame duck prime minister

  • Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law.

If those institutions are fascistic then fuck yeah!

  • don't handle well The pedal assist on the lime bikes in London are notorious for kicking in at inappropriate times and causing riders to lose control.

Doctors in A&E use the term 'Lime bike leg' for the crush injuries they see because the bikes weigh nearly 30kg and are akin to motorbike crash injuries.

This is compounded by the level of riding and handling skills of those who use those bikes being almost non-existent. My own experience of those riders is that they never shoulder check before moving into a space, just a cursory glance to the floor next to them. They frequently dump them in places where they block pavements and make accessibility for those needing it most, a lot harder.

  • "If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.

A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.

  • I wouldn't murder anyone but I'm certainty not going to be upset when a shit gibbon gets his neck blown out.

You sound like the kind of person that if someone was getting attacked in the street, you would grab their arms to stop them defending themselves while saying to them that they need to be the better person.

I would happily kick you in the face if that were ever the case

  • On his weekly panel discussion, "ThoughtCrime," Kirk was discussing death penalties of those convicted of crimes, adding that not only does he believe there should be public executions, but that children should watch them.

"Death penalties should be public, should be quick, it should be televised. I think at a certain age, its an initiation...What age should you start to see public executions?" Kirk asked.

His wife & kids were there to watch. It what he would have wanted!
