When can we stop inserting politics into every little thing?
When I see comments like this, it makes 2 things plainly obvious:
The commentor is naive and doesn't understand that fundamentally 'politics' is the power dynamic in every relationship, be that between people, groups or with structures or things such as food.
It is in everything and connects everything. It defines your relationship and how you interact with the world and it's relationship to, and interaction with you.
The commentor has enough privilege that they don't have to worry about politics/power structures on a daily basis.
Read a rolling stone article 20 odd years ago about the numerous deaths of people falling into the pig shit run off pits in Florida but a large number of them were those who went to rescue the initial person who fell in.
Stella McCartney: "Basically, in life, rule of thumb: if you don't absolutely have to clean anything, don't clean it. I wouldn't change my bra every day and I don't just chuck stuff into a washing machine because it's been worn. I am incredibly hygienic myself, but I'm not a fan of dry cleaning or any cleaning, really."
Quentin Crisp: There is no need to do any housework at all. After the first four years the dirt doesn't get any worse.
Nothing says your cause is doomed more than going to the prison cell of the most popular Palestinian leader whos been incarcerated for over 20 years, to scream in his face that he wont win because he lives rent free in your head every single day!
Maria Gutierrez says since the video was released, she’s been subjected to ridicule. She hasn’t been able to find stable work, and the Wonderful Company where she worked for 26 years no longer wants her. She feels the deepest pain from the co-worker who recorded her.
"Éramos compañeras y las compañeras mismas me traicionaron." We were coworkers, and my own coworkers betrayed me, she says.
So she claims she borrowed $6000 from a friend to break a union, now can't find any work and is being blanked by the company she did it for?
They've supplied weapons to pretty much every far right regime that's cracked down on civilians over the last 50 years
As well as fuelling the current violence in Myanmar and South Sudan, Israel has been accused of clandestinely providing arms used in notorious past episodes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in places such as Rwanda, the Balkans, Chile, Argentina, Sri Lanka, Haiti, El Salvador and Nicaragua. Israel also cultivated close ties to apartheid South Africa....
You're comment presupposes that the US isn't a genocidal imperialist empire and that "if the right president is elected everything will be ok" but the truth is that while internally there maybe noticeable differences to the quality of your life, which are really just different sized crumbs the elites allow to fall from their table, for everyone outside the US, the next day is no different to the previous one.
One of the only good things about trump being elected is that he is accelerating the collapse of the US and it's hegemony. No-one can now point to the US and claim it to be the bastion of the free world.
The downside to that is people will suffer and die but the rest of the world may have a little schadenfreude that you're getting your just desserts.
As for Israel, with Netanyahu at the wheel for the last 30 years and being backed by trump, the end of that apartheid ethnostate project is nearing as well.
Definitely, it's them playing stupid so centrist liberals will mock them because they can't help themselves and they use that to say to the genpop "look, I'm just like you and these sneering elites are laughing at me, and by extension you"
I think the attraction is more that the current system isn't working for a lot of people and hasn't been for a long time.
Exactly. They play the outsider who has the balls but not embroiled in the quagmire, to come and "drain the swamp"
The perverse hilarity of trump saying this is that he is the 1%, he is the trust fund kid that had everything handed to him on a platter. He literally is the swamp (a corrupt child rapist)
Farage in the UK went to one of the top schools (Dulwich college) where he was disciplined for singing Hitler youth songs. He got a job in the city through his dad as a commodities broker before going into (disrupting) politics and people seem to believe his shit when he acts like he's one of the common folk!
People need their heads banging together falling for that shit!
You're just projecting here.
I merely pointed out that everything is politics and yet you respond with yet more bleating.
And you respond further by shoving your head further up your own arse.
Are you trying to make yourself out as the victim here?
What a fucking crybaby!
