They don’t know who you’re messaging or when you’re messaging them AFAIK.

Ecosia also has AI answers and bangs, you can use #g to redirect to Google for example.

For what it’s worth, it is now possible to delete your threads account without also deleting your instagram account.
Not to discredit your arguement but isn’t Signal also centralised?

I already use proton on PC, I needed one for mobile as well hence Calyx caught my eye.
(ProtonVPN’s free plan is limited to one device at a time, that’s why)

Solution: Go to Settings > Home > Enable Shortcuts > Go to a new tab > Google will be pinned by default, hover over the Google icon > Click on the 3 dots menu > Unpin

I haven’t changed it manually though, I installed their extension and it changed the default; if this matters in any way.

It stores an encrypted copy of your database locally to your device which syncs (updates) over the internet.
