  • People have known about this since the first week they dropped in January. Always good to share for awareness but it's not new.

  • Sailing the high seas is definitely on the cards!

  • This is one thing I have definitely considered! Do they come with Bluetooth as this would be good for the car too!

  • I've never even considered overclocking a USB device, why would someone want to do this?

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

    Leaving spotify, offline music options?

  • Stuff like this makes me so sick. How can these people even live with themselves? I wish nothing but horrific violence against these people.

  • I'm honestly so sick of this sick world we live in. Lately it just seems like the veil has slipped and we can see how truly depraved the rich and powerful are and we are not able to do anything significant to change it.

  • I switched to Tony's chocolate years ago, I was heartbroken to hear even that doesn't guarantee that chocolate is free from slave labour 😔

  • We all know that people who are poor and homeless are at much greater risk of mental health issues such as schizophrenia, I really wouldn't be surprised if the same applies when you have too much money and become paranoid about various issues correlated to how you accumulated your wealth.

  • I think what we need to do is to start our own Australia day celebration on an agreed date. We have to spend the currently official day either doing nothing or raising awareness and yet the racists(or uninformed if you're young/new to the country) get to enjoy it celebrating.

I would love a day where we could all celebrate this beautiful country. We need to start the change we want to see in this world and raising awareness has been an excellent step in this journey.

  • At this rate its us or them

  • Unless you're given a decryption key and you have audited the source code to understand that you're the only recipient of that decryption key. You should always assume that the vendor of such a service can decrypt your data if they wanted/have a reason to.

  • I've seen multiple articles over the past few days, I seriously hope we are now seeing the downfall of AI. I seriously hope we can return back to creating meaningful technology.

  • It only takes one of these large companies to walk away for everyone else to panic and the bubble will burst. I really hope MS takes a step away from it and actually tries to innovate something.

  • And yet haven't they lost the technology to get to the moon? Or is that just a conspiracy?

  • You're so right! I use a VPN, Linux adblockers as much as possible and various other privacy focused technologies and my partner just thinks I'm paranoid.

They love that their instagram algorithm can serve them highly personalised clothing ads 😆

  • Israel? Russia?

  • Unions work! I've never worked somewhere where a union was a disadvantage.

  • This is based in a town called Exmouth in Western Australia. I believe the town was originally created due to the need to service US personnel and their families who were based out there in the 1960's

  • Mildly Interesting @lemmy.world

This US naval communications station which was named after an Australian PM mysteriously went missing and was never seen again

  • I stopped using Brave years ago but this should be the biggest motivator to get away from the browser. The thought of what Peter Thiel is probably getting from that deal is awful.

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

What's an impulse purchase you've made and it turned out to be awesome?

What do blind people dream about?
