Sorry to hijack the thread but are question style posts allowed in this community. Nothing in the community rules mention not allowing posts asking questions or asking for advice but from what I have seen, all the posts here are articles or studies relating to EV.
What sort of battery life are you people seeing from Asahi Linux nowadays when compared to Mac OS? The GPU drivers have matured greatly over the last year so I expect battery life to have improved
If I remember correctly, the gen 1 kona electric had no inbuilt internet connectivity (atleast in the Indian model). Maybe you can see if that is true for your region
Dude if you are able to use arch without difficulties, you can use ubuntu or fedora as well without any issues. And arch should have good support for asus-kernel and nvidia drivers through pre compiled binaries so even if you stick with arch, it won't be an issue
Well my comment was not about having control over the software/firmware though that will be cool.
My logic is that well tested, polished software/firmware have very few bugs and hence most of the updates they get are feature additions or improvements to current functionality (examples in an EV could be updates making the BMS more robust, tweaking the regen modes according to feedback from the users, etc). Poorly tested, half baked software/firmware will be full of bugs and broken functionality and will lead to 'updates' where all the changes are correcting broken functionality and serious bugs. This will be an unpleasant experience for the user and we should hold companies accountable when they do shit like this
Cheers man. Thank you for all your hard work on uBlue and all the images. You are doing amazing work.
I would have reported it but I wasn't sure whether it was a local issue or a server issue and didn't want to burden you with an issue without the proper information. Also no worries bugs happen and I have seen no group or organisation react as openly and promptly to bugs as you people do. I hope that sometime in the future, you open donations for uBlue so that people like me who can't code can show our appreciation for this incredible project
This is fine. Electric cars are becoming competitive when it comes to price (atleast in India). Anyway we need to promote 2 wheelers + public transport more since they are the actual solution to environment friendly transport in a country with nearly 2 billion people.
Well it was you who implied that a distro shipping the
DE with wayland has to do extra testing that they don't do. I just replied stating that distros are testing and validating for wayland to be the default.
The fighter has an intersex disorder which makes their sex ambiguous to anyone that doesn't have access to their medical record, and she has been disqualified from competing in past events due to failing female tests, Olympics is one of the few places to allow her to compete.
Do you have a source on the intersex disorder claim. I have seen a lot of articles claim that XY DNA was found in her samples by IBA but the IBA never released their medical results nor what tests they conducted.
Considering that Ubuntu, Fedora and any distro with Gnome or KDE as the default DE already come with Wayland as the default, it is clear they have been testing their own shit when it comes to Wayland and then shifting to Wayland by default.
What are you then¿?
