We can observe evolution. We cannot observe if the steps are purely random.

E.g. if you mix eggs and butter and flour in a specified ratio and put it in an oven, it is not random that a cake evolves in the oven.

Der eigene Anspruch der Huthis sei ja, dass sie nur solche Schiffe angreifen, die klar definierte Kriterien erfüllten, und die würden jetzt eben klarer dargelegt. "Ich habe keine Zweifel, dass einige Schiffseigner und -betreiber solche Anfragen bereits ausprobieren."

Während der letzten Waffenruhe in Gaza wurden keine Schiffe angegriffen. Es wäre ein Leichtes für die EU-Staaten durch Durchsetzung internationalen Rechts ggü. Israel den Houthis die Motivation zu nehmen.

Also they "double tapped". So after the initial strike they attacked the same spot again to kill the people trying to rescue wounded.

It is a war crime tactic also popular with Russia in their attack on Ukraine.

These kind of attacks are always geared at maximizing civilian casualties by killing rescuers. This does not make sense for destroying supposed equipment.

The eyes of mammals are designed in a way that they "see less" than for instance certain birds or reptiles.

You call this "fuck up some weird convulted way", when it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. Thereby it is consistent with the way the visual nerve cells are designed and work together with the rest of physics and chemistry. The design is intelligent as it factors in all aspects as part of a coherent complete design. A design far too complex for any human mind to grasp in full.

Basically your question is like asking, why there is no "magic solution" that directly breaks the observable laws of physics. The genius of the design is in not requiring to break the observable laws of physics to achieve the desired outcome.

You say this is "unscientific garbage" when your only alternative explanation is "everything just happened randomly and here we are." Neither approach, "intelligent design" nor "extremely long chain of random occurrences" can be empirically observed and only argued logically. I find it unscientific to denounce a hypothesis as "unscientific garbage" when it cannot be falsified, while the counter hypothesis cannot be proven.

I used to oppose private weapon ownership over the time i have come to see that it is indeed an important tool to defend against totalitarian takeovers.

It is by no means a sufficient tool by itself, and people can manage to overcome a totalitarian government without in some historical examples, but often this meant a lot of bloodshed and ultimately gaining weapons through overrunning police/military sites or defecting army units.

Was übrigens eine Linie ist, die von beiden US Parteien getragen wird, ebenso wie Sanktionen gegen Richter am IStGH, sowie der "Hague Invasion Act"

Es ist also zweifelhaft, ob sich daran etwas ändern könnte, solange sich nicht das politische System in den USA grundlegend ändert.

If you have many cannons and they all shoot at roughly the same area, the many imprecise rounds end up saturating the area effectively.

I fully agree with you that we cannot just look at the raw numbers, but we should also acknowledge that quantity can beat quality. In the modern context we see that with drone swarms that overwhelm sophisticated missile AA systems and lead back to the quantity over quality defense with high RPM cannons being more effective.

From the point of intelligent design:

We see that there is different sensory focuses. For instance many animals can smell and hear much better than humans do. Some animals have exceptionally better eyes than humans, but overall humans are very focused on vision.

Now when we look at modern inner city environments and the like. Would you think it to be actually better if our senses, particularly our eyes were that much better and delivering even more input to our brains? We already see many people that are overwhelmed in terms of their sensory input and frankly the ones that aren't still suffer slowly from living in cities. In terms of where we are now, i don't think it is too bad that we don't have hawk eyes.

Die 40 Watt sind Erfahrung von Lüftereinsatz vs. Klimaanlage bei 40°C Außentemperatur und ca. 30°C Innentemperatur. Die 1 kW und mehr kommen vom Einsatz eines Monoblocks statt einer Splitklima, weil Splitklima mit baulichen Veränderungen für viele Mieter nicht geeignet ist.

Dazu kommt, dass du einen Lüfter ohne Probleme in jeden Raum tragen kannst. Selbst der Monoblock als "flexibles" Gerät braucht wegen der Fensterinstallation und Gewicht deutlich mehr Aufwand, und ist bei schlechter Installation natürlich weniger effizient ist.

Klar, wenn du ein Haus hast, bei dem die Klimatisierung bereits beim Errichten eingeplant wurde, oder du umfangreich sanieren konntest, mit Split-Gerät in jedem Raum, dann ist das inzwischen auch recht effizient. Für Otto Normal ist das aber oft nicht gegeben.

Dann sind wir wieder bei der Wärmepumpe. Es sind auch nicht alle Geräte die als Wärmepumpe zum Heizen angeboten werden zum Kühlen geeignet und umgekehrt.

Bezogen auf das Kühlen bei Hitze ist so ein Ventilator tatsächlich extrem viel effizienter, sofern die Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht super hoch ist.

Mit einem 40 Watt Steh-Ventilator kann man seinen Sitzplatz ganz gut frisch halten. Die Klimaanlage zieht zum Kühlen des Raumes je nach Raumgröße eher im Bereich 1 kW und mehr.

Das geht rechtlich nicht so, dass es konkurrenzfähig wäre.

Warum? Wenn es darum geht, dass in den USA andere Datenschutzgesetze greifen, sprich kaum welche, dann lässt sich so ein Produkt sowieso nicht auf den europäischen Markt übertragen. Das ist aus meiner Sicht der gleiche logische Fehlschluss, wie unsichere amerikanische Autos auf europäischen Straßen zuzulassen, weil Trump rumpoltert.

Das ist auch so ein Marketingslogan, der die europäische Situation eher verschlechtern wird. US-Gesetze verlangen so einen Zugriff von allen Firmen auf dem US-Markt, also auch europäischen.

Es ist technisch möglich, dem Tochterunternehmen in den USA den Zugang zu den Daten in Europa zu verwehren. Es ist nicht möglich, dem Mutterunternehmen in den USA den Zugang zu den Daten in Europa zu verwehren. Wenn die Sturmtruppen mit Maschinengewehren im Büro stehen, können sie bei dem Mutterunternehmen das gesamte Unternehmen zerlegen. Bei der Tochter können sie zwar Schaden anrichten, aber nicht das gesamte Unternehmen zerlegen.

Es macht einen erheblichen Unterschied, wo das "Hauptquartier" ist. Und wenn entsprechende europäische Firmen sich für ihr US Geschäft komprommitieren lassen, dann muss man sie eben vom Europageschäft ausschließen, sobald es um sensible Daten geht. Die Bevölkerung der EU ist etwas größer als die Bevölkerung der USA. Es gibt keinen Grund, warum der europäische Markt nicht geeignet sein soll, um ein ausreichend skaliertes Geschäft aufzubauen.

Wer auf dem EU-Markt unterwegs sein will, muss die EU-Anforderungen erfüllen. Die eigene Sicherheit aufzuopfern, um irgendwelchen "internationalen Konkurrenzkämpfen" hinterherzurennen, die wesentlich darauf basieren, dass sie in der EU illegal sind, verstärkt nicht nur die Abhängigkeit, sondern schadet den EU-Bürgern massiv.

In anderen Branchen hat die EU durch die Regulierung einen Wettbewerbsvorteil erlangt, weil Standards aus der EU später global wurden. Warum soll das bei Software nicht möglich sein? Wie gesagt, der Markt ist groß genug und Microsoft, Google und Amazon haben auf dem EU Markt nichts verloren, wenn sie nicht garantieren können, dass sie ihre Kunden nicht für die US-Regierung ausspähen.

Auch bezüglich Digitalkompetenz sind wir doch deswegen im Hintertreffen, weil man statt europäische Strukturen aufzubauen lieber auf die US-Riesen gesetzt hat.

Well, the former US ambassador to Israel recently declared in an interview that killing children is okay, because they are Hamas children and Israel said so.

Also the former Biden team admitted that they deliberately lied about Israel sabotaging any ceasefire attempt and instead lying blamed it on Hamas, all while providing further arms shipments, without which the Genocide would have been over within a few weeks.

They justified this with the claim that it wouldn't have helped Israel, so the goal was always clear. The Democratic presidency under Biden was in full support of the genocide. Unlike Trump they merely cared about creating a slight appearance otherwise, but they have been salivating at the continued slaughter of women and children, the ethnic cleansing, the deliberate starvation, the rape and torture of Palestinians taken hostage by Israel.

By punishing them for supporting Genocide at least there was a chance that the party would reform as it identifies Genocide as a loosing issue. However now we see that supporting Genocide is more important to them even than preventing Trumps full takeover. This only leads to one conclusion. They are not only pro Genocide, they are also pro Fascist dictatorship.

Plattner hatte in Bezug auf Investitionen gesagt, „dass manche der großen Firmen, vor allem aus den USA, jetzt schon zehn Jahre Vorsprung“ hätten. Dem halten die Unterzeichner des Briefes entgegen, dass diese Aussage „in dieser Pauschalität ein Marketing-Narrativ“ wiederhole. Es diene häufig nur dazu, „Wirtschaft und Verwaltung vom Einkauf europäischer Lösungen abzuhalten“. Außerdem würde die Aussage „politisch häufig als Begründung herangezogen, um dringend notwendige Beschaffungs- und Investitionsentscheidungen zu vertagen“.

Rein auf der Software-Ebene sehe ich nicht, warum das nicht kurzfristig in Europa machbar wäre? Mal abgesehen von der Sinnhaftigkeit von Sprachmodellen, ist die Technologie dahinter meist OpenSoruce und europäische Forschungseirnichtungen sind führend an der Entwicklung von Machine Learning beteiligt. Kubernetes, Docker & co. sind OpenSource.

Wenn man auf die Harware-Ebene abstellt, dann schießt man sich mit jeder Vergabeentscheidung an einen US-Riesen weiter ins aus, indem man den Aufbau europäischer Kapazitäten verhindert. Und wir wissen, nich tzuletzt aus dem Geständnis von microsoft, dass sie nicht garantieren können, dass sich die US-Regierung keinen Zugriff auf die europäischen Daten verschafft. Von da ist es zum "Killswitch" dann auch nicht mehr weit.

Und das BSI bindet sich aktuell für zehn Jahre an Google. Das ist völliger Wahnsinn.

The "practical leftists" were fighting the people who wanted the supposedly better party to not be this cruel and abominable evil. The division was caused by the "practical leftists" who willfully employed themselves to spread the propaganda, that genocide should be acceptable as a "lesser" evil. The "practical leftists" were integral to the strategy of the oligarchy, that is financing and dictating bot mayor US political parties what to do, in waging their war against the people in the US and people abroad.

The only strategy not to loose, is not to play that game. We see some initiatives into that direction with people like Mamdani and we see that the "lesser" evil and the "bigger" evil are largely working together to fight against anything that could not be evil.
