  • Is the grain of salt with the jungewelt because of its "special viewpoints" of certain topics or do they have ties to a international Goliath?

  • I looked at Welt once (their largest newspaper that is considered to be the less right wing populist one compared to Bild), and the second or so article was from the editor and boiled down to: The conservative party not working with the Nazi party (AfD, and Nazi as in literally using Nazi slogans, talking about replacement theory and differentiating between immgrants with German citizenship and real Germans) is really a ploy by the left wing parties to force their ideas on Germany and force the AfD to become more radical.

They are at least at the edge of pro democracy

  • So I have read more on the topic but I still have some more confusions that I hope you can clear up. Firstly you said that the Bolsheviks banned the Soviets from having elections, but the sources I read just stated that they gradually lost power in favor of the of the central comitee of the CP and later the Politburo. Is this what you meant or did I overread something?. Later you talked about how they only allowed their people to be elected. Are you referring to the supreme soviet or soviets as a whole?

  • The earliest prisoners were: Communists. That is why the poem starts with:

First they came for the Communists

Then socialists, then trade unionists. Not really liberal politicians.

According to Wikipedia 80% of the people in early concentration camps were communists

  • “The international order based on rights and rules … no longer exists in the way it once did,”

Because that's what the international order was based on

  • Do you have a good source to read more about this? I have been searching on this what feels like half an hour and the results are not saying anything on the topic or either boil down to 'Soviet=Communist dictatorship gulag 100 billion dead' or 'Your boot tastes so good comrade Stalin'

  • For webview Apple Maps is quite good. Its still Apple, but at least not Google

  • You should know that archive.is DDOSed a other site through it's users and those who partake in this might be commiting a crime depending on where you live.

  • These media sources are slight to moderately conservative in bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appealing to emotion or stereotypes) to favor conservative causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation

    Bei Welt

These sources have minimal bias and use very few loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes).  The reporting is factual and usually sourced.  These are the most credible media sources

  • Well there is a Kodi Plugin, so you could probably install the Kodi app and use that

  • LLMs definitely kills the trust in open source software, because now everything can be a vibe-coded mess and it's sometimes hard to check.

  • Can I ask the moderators of this instance to delete my posts without a trace so that they are not in the federation database?

A instance admin can only delete your posts from that specific instances database, so you should assume that there will always be some sort of copy of your post (with things like search engine caching and the Internet archive this basically the case on any social media).

Is there a way to chat safely on Lemmy? Alas, I like to communicate with different people from different countries, because I can't help myself, by the way, how then can I pass the keys to my matrix room to others or how can others give their keys?

Not a active matrix user, but the default Lemmy chat is definetly not secure. Lemmy allows you to add your matrix handle in your profile settings so it will appear when someone looks at your profile

  • You will first have to set up Shizuku and then use a app client that supports it. Here is a config for Obtainium.

It basically installs the app via ADB, which allows faking the installation source
