  • Twitch is a SOCIAL website, you chat with the streamer and they chat back. All these ads do is interrupt the conversation and it’s SICK to me. It ruins the entire experience. I don’t mind the pop up small ads, but the full screen ads with sound just trashed the entire conversation. Always seems to happen when I ask a streamer a question then BAM 6 full screen ads when the streamer starts to answer me. No, I’m not paying for turbo or a sub, I’m f*ing broke right now.

  • What power does an affiliate have to protest this?

  • When I went to Mexico, none of them had the covers, just holes everywhere on the roads and sidewalks.

  • The store takes your donation, then they donate it and take all the credit.

“Store name” donated $1 million to XYZ Charity.

  • Might be best to avoid smart watches, they are truly little SPY devices…

  • The more information you give, the more they have to use against you.

How to manipulate you, how to trick you, etc.

Also if you’re exposed as a certain type of person (gay/trans/brown/black/etc) are being targeted in some countries.

If your exposed showing knowledge in some subjects then they could target you. Example is how they are targeting some news reporters for reporting the truth.

  • I used to sell at swap meets and the best selling items were the $1 table. We had a $5 table and $10 table too, plus more expensive items.

Hopefully she can find a way to expand to what people are buying and at the right price to make money.

Sadly we gave up on swap meets because for our type of items, we barely paid the swap meets because for fees.

Example we went to a smaller swap meet $20 for a spot, and we would make $30 or so. Over 10 hours of work, $1 per hour for 2 people…

The bigger swap meet spot was $120, and we barely made that too. Maybe $130… so again $10 profit for over 10 hours work.

I’m sure our failure was lack of items people actually wanted.

  • The world has less and less resources, and it’s more and more polluted… it’s not looking good.

More cancer, more crazy weather, more fires.

You will own nothing, and rent everything…

I’m just hopeful for FOSS software and devices, buying less junk we don’t need, and hopefully I can get a little garden going and collect rainwater soon.

  • I have both… I use the steam deck daily. Haven’t touched the core i9/RTX 3090 pc in forever lol 😂

  • They “leak” the numbers, then only issue new ones to the people they like…

  • Few years ago we had a baking pan that has this terrible coating on it. Both my wife and I got the weirdest feeling touching it. We had to donate it.

  • Thanks to the YouTube channel Cheap RV Living, I was able to live in a small SUV for several months while traveling to move. It was amazing to experience that and meet so many interesting people during travels.

  • How much for 100TB of drives $1500

How much for 100TB of NVME $10,000

Yes I still use hard drives in my threadripper servers and NAS.

  • I just feel books are the ultimate source of knowledge. Been collecting them forever. Also books are free at the library and they have computers to search for things.

I also have offline Wikipedia from a few years ago, and an offline Reddit from a few years ago before it was poisoned with AI and bots.

  • I have experience with many editors from windows and macOS. After switching to Linux I had to find an alternative. I have been using kdenlive. I never needed a tutorial, always figured things out. Very impressive editor. I was able to have 1TB of footage on the time line, and able to make 1 million x speed time lapse using over 60 hours of footage on a laptop. Very impressed by this software!

  • Books?

  • Handheld gaming using 15W, VS my laptop using 100W, VS my desktop using 600W.

I have been using the steam deck daily since I am not concerned to the grid at all.

  • But you can’t setup the TV to use HDMI because it requires internet. Unless you mean to an HDMI monitor instead?
