  • Suddenly nukes are on the table.

  • Thank you. I think my biggest concern is that I can't fix it when it breaks, simply due to lack of experience. I've fixed busted Windows partitions and boot issues, but never Linux because I've just never had an issue with the installs I have and don't have nearly the same number of years under my belt with it.

As you said I think first order of business is a functional bootable USB which I can use to both backup and restore the partition, and I need to do a practice run restore to prove it works and that I know what I'm doing before I need it.

  • Any viable option if you can't install 2 drives? My laptop only allows one. It currently has Win10 on it and I'm hoping to replace it with Linux with an option to boot into Windows when needed, especially for my wife who isn't as technical or experienced with Linux. Not sure if there's anyway to do it without Windows nuking my setup.

  • POTUS cannot declassify stuff solo. They can declare they want to declassify a document but then a team reviews the document and blacks out content that can't be declassified such as intelligence agents and assets in the field. POTUS cannot declare a doc declassified and then just hand out copies.

  • DDR4 is already ridiculously expensive, just not quite as bad as DDR5

  • Problem is the seller can just collude with the investment firm, jack up the price so regular people aren't bidding and wait out the 6 months.

  • And then you realize only half your audience has an issue with the colonization.

  • I'm sorry Canadians that we have such a shifty president.

  • When you realize they've not made a "donation" yet, you'll understand. It's just a matter of time.

  • For now, but they're eliminating that capability later this year.

  • Oh Republicans would have definitely cared if Clinton had an affair with anyone. They didn't care that Monica was an intern. They wanted to vilify a Democrat.

And honestly it is a big deal if any politician has an affair since it's then a huge vulnerability making them susceptible to coercion and blackmail.

  • Guards in Russia don't have access to South American poison dart frogs any more than you do. His murder was not the decision of a guard.

  • And when lots of people are around, you have lots of cameras. Imagine how different things would be if we didn't have video from Minnesota.

  • Crazy to me that it was filmed in 2010. My experience dumpster diving was as a kid in the 80s in Phoenix and as I mentioned, the stores started locking things up and so it stopped. Or so I thought... it seems in many areas it was and maybe still is occurring. Perhaps locking dumpsters is too much of a hassle for some places. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

  • They used to dump them in unlocked dumpsters but people figured that out and started pilfering the dumpsters. My dad, not poor at all but quite frugal/cheap, somehow heard about this and started taking me as a kid to go dumpster diving with him. It was crazy the amount of food we brought home for those couple years before places started locking the dumpsters. And there were a lot of people driving up and going through them just like us.

  • In a properly secure system the rep can't see the code but must type it in to get to your data. If they can get to it without your secret, they can be tricked into supplying it or may abuse their access themselves.

  • Same... unique email for each service and the Discord leak a few weeks ago was the most abused one I believe I've experienced. So many emails for a huge number of sites claiming I opened support tickets and what-not.

  • Please, oh wizard, share your magic!
