    If it becomes law, Wisconsin could become the first state where using a VPN to access certain content is banned.

    How are they going to enforce that? Assuming the VPN provider is doing their due-diligence, they have no way of knowing what kind of traffic is going through a privacy-based VPN when someone uses one.

  • Not for me. Sexy times are fun, yes, but sometimes I just want to be left alone in my game room so I can binge YouTube for 6 hours straight and not be near anybody. Plus you have to shower and brush your teeth afterward to get the vagina smell off your face and out of your mouth, and some days I just don't feel like showering more than once.

    Hell, some days I'll even take porn over sex because the cleanup is much easier.

  • Couldn't agree more. I don't miss getting information from forums. A voting system for posts and comments makes it easier to filter out the bullshit and get straight to the answers. It also encourages people to make more helpful replies so that they get upvoted. Definitely don't miss the days of going through pages and pages of dumb, pointless replies, just to get to the one comment with the helpful response.

    What I miss is the same thing you do: the fun part of forums. The signatures, avatars, ranks and titles. The sense of community, because everyone knows each other and they all post regularly. You don't get the same sense of community on a social media platform like Lemmy. Just strangers sharing their opinions and nobody remembers anyone.

  • Wow I'm sorry, that sucks. Shit like this is why I don't purchase until I can afford the entire build. Time goes by faster than you think. It would suck to get stuck with a PC that's already obsolete before you get the funds together to finish it.

    If I were you, I'd return everything while you still can, then set aside the money until you can afford the complete build. Luckily for you you just got started, so the return window for everything will still be open.

    Consider this a lesson learned and good luck with your eventual build!
