  • I used to back in the late 90s-early 2000s in StarCraft: BroodWar when I was a kid. Mainly because I was absolute trash and was trying to compete.

My favorite hacks were map hacks (removes fog of war) and stack hacks (construct buildings on top of each other to fit more in your base). I also used a no-CD crack (glad those days are over), and a disconnect hack so that I would never have a loss on my record.

Even with these hacks I was still trash at StarCraft, and always will be. Gave up on RTS games a long time ago. Hacks can't save you from poor resource management and low APM.

Haven't hacked in a game since. I heard that they cost money these days. I couldn't possibly imagine paying real money to cheat. The closest I get to cheating in games today is playing mobile shooters in an Android emulator on PC. That way I can take advantage of mouse & keyboard + playing on a larger 4K HFR screen for smoother framerates and better visibility over a phone screen. But that's allowed (Tencent even has an official emulator for this very thing), and many mobile shooters will detect M&KB input and try to only match you with other players using the same input method, so I'm not sure if you can really call that cheating.

It does give me an advantage, though.

  • This is why I drive a tiny nimble sports car, so I can push my way past large clusters of drivers going 5-10 MPH under the speed limit (they never seem to be able to maintain their speed), who don't understand that the passing lane is for passing.

I just want to coast down the highway at a comfortable 75 MPH with cruise control on and chill, with nobody tailgating and nothing in front of me but open road, but then other drivers have to show up with their inconsistent driving habits and ruin my fun.

Out of the cities I've driven in, LA has got to be my favorite, cause half of the drivers there are just as impatient as me! Within 30 seconds of hopping on the freeway you'll find some maniac weaving through rush hour traffic at 110 MPH. All you gotta do is follow them in their slipstream and pray that you make it to your destination alive and in one piece... Most fun I've ever had driving in my life! Can't wait to go back.

  • Tell me about it. When Albertson's bought Safeway, they changed the recipe to their green chile chicken enchiladas from the Deli and it just doesn't taste as good as the old one. I can replicate the original recipe well enough at home, but the convenience of just being able to grab a tray for a quick bite is no longer there and I miss having that so much.

  • See this is why I like the channel Technology Connections. It's all about going into the in-depth of every day household tech and how it's all interconnected.

  • I could not in fact tell by your username, so thank you for the information.

  • IDK you tell me. I've never heard of it.

  • Whatever happened to just talking to each other? I'm glued to my devices all day every day, yet even I ignore the phone during holiday family gatherings.

Nobody's forcing you to go; if you prefer be on the internet rather than interacting with your family, please just stay home.

Edit: Downvotes be damned, I stand by what I said. If this asocial shut-in who hasn't had a friend since 2014 (because people annoy me) can come out of my shell a few times a year, and spend some time with the people I grew up, so can you. No excuses.

One day they will all be dead or estranged, and you will regret not looking up from your phone for two hours to spend quality time with them when they were alive and in your life, as you die alone in your nursing home (assuming you're rich enough to afford assisted living, that is). Don't say you aren't warned.

  • TIL

But if you use Windows for any reason, I'd still recommend O&O cause it disables nearly every annoyance the OS has. MSEdgeRedirect and StartAllBack fix the remaining problems with Win11 (stops Windows from ignoring your default browser settings, and restores removed Start menu features, respectively).

  • This, but we also need to stop shutting down race tracks and start making them more affordable! The desire to drive fast would be greatly reduced if people had an affordable, legal outlet to do so. But public race tracks are becoming more and more rare, and the ones that are still around charge hundreds to thousands of dollars for a track day, which only encourages people who spent money on a sports car to risk enjoying their car illegally on public roads.

It's a major issue and something needs to be done about it. Sports car enthusiasts need an outlet.

  • Problem with your argument is that Black Mirror has been shockingly accurate with its predictions. Just watch the episode "Be Right Back" if you don't believe. It came out in 2013, and is disturbingly accurate with predicting LLMs becoming reality. Or the episode "Joan is Awful", which predicts AI-generated video.

  • I previously answered a similar question from another user. For your convenience, here is my response:

The criteria is whatever I feel like at the moment if/when I ultimately decide to bookmark. There is no hard set rule, because again, I have ADHD.

  • Isn't everyone on here as an alternative to reddit?

  • LMAO You and I both know they meant which distro, asshole. 😂

  • For me it's because I have ADHD and thrive among organized clutter.

I may have 100 tabs open, but they're all categorized: One tab group for YouTube, one for porn, one for my website, and one for everything else. I keep stuff in there that's good enough to hang onto for a while, but not good enough to bookmark.
