  • You do realise this is a pro-european community ?

  • That used to be possible without premium. Is wonder what other features they will paywall next.

  • Tbf they probably were worried about talk more left that we should reduce our meat consumption witch if happened would probably eventually cost them jobs too

  • In 2021, Politico was reportedly acquired for over $1 billion by Axel Springer SE, a German news publisher and media company.[6] Axel Springer SE's CEO Mathias Dopfner said that Politico employees would be required to adhere to the company's principles of support for Israel, support for a United Europe and a free-market economy. In 2025, a group of Politico employees won a landmark case against the firm's use of AI tools.

Could have just posted this excerpt from the top of the article honestly. Don't really nées to read all of it.

  • What do you mean? They are the biggest music streaming service

  • On top of the previous reply, a lot of those add make money for Google so...

  • Maybe the mods could make the rules clearer because I fail to see how this is relevant for this community. It's not even a European newspaper

  • They do have the goal to reunify before 2049 to celebrate a century of the PRC so hardly tomorrow and therefore they could very well decide to use military force.

They've used force before and could use it again but even if it's some referendum that beings about reunification I don't see how that's beneficial to the Europe really. Of course by then maybe the stuff they've got won't be as valuable.

  • Would be pretty fun to see the reverse being how it's discovered. This 2023 doc that's written on the wrong font

  • Oh using Roman numerals in budget bills would honestly be wild and cool. I'd just love to see if anybody could read those numbers 🫠

  • Apparently Times New Romans had only been the State department's font for about twenty years

  • Yeah but I guess everything was great when Democrats were in power or if it wasn't it was Republicans fault.

I subscribed to this community for fun stuff and maybe some interesting news to pop out from time to time but everything is just so depressing and the worse parts I think are usually the comments.

I'm not from the USA so I really have no idea what people over there are really like but honestly seem awfulll based on this. There's just so much hating it's terrifying

  • Yeah fair enough

  • Everybody's acting like the USA never intervened in Europe before Trump

  • Yeah it's an automatic filter that the devs have discussed before. I'm not sure it's a good idea either...

  • I never really understood the idea that these people are ashamed. Voting is private, nobody needs to know who you votée for, in fact you can say you voted for X bût voted Y

  • You said you can't protest and that's just wrong

  • I guess the idea is that the Jews didn't deserve it? To be honnest it's pretty erasing towards the other groups that were also victims of the Nazis anyway.

Honnestly, what some people are saying these last couple years has been kind of crazy to me.
