a lot of things you saw as cons of living through the 2000's I saw as Pros that I still long for.
Personally I suspect the 30's sucked. I imagine the 1860-1900's did too with the U.S. industrial revolution & gilded age being considered a bad thing for people that weren't mega-wealthy.(kinda like the direction we're headed)

I swear these people are so hellbent on doing the exact opposite of what’s good for people that it feels like they actually know what’s right and are just choosing the opposite.
I think that comes part-in-parcel with being a reactionary.
the funny (or ironic) thing is how trivial the steps are that the insurance companies ignore. This guy had to call in a major favor just to get on the schedule. -From personal experience i can tell you insurance wont always deny a claim. Some will (like mine) just repeatedly refuse to acknowledge they ever recieved a claim after repeated submissions and calls.
WHOA, Whoa, whoa. I have it on good authority that most lemmy commenters think commenting takes lots of effort. -This is based on my experience of telling people on here that "I couldn't care less" about certain issues and saying "commenting on lemmy takes next to no effort." Boy did those people try to convince me I was wrong.
I'd heard that apparently, their media was claiming the same thing about democrats and country music singers. The media works on people of all polticial persuasions to sew discord to some degree i guess.
