We still had fun but you could tell he was struggling a bit

Everyone will just forget about it in like a few days. Usually minutes. It’s better to kickback and relax and let that part of yourself have some fun.
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 429 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·2 days agoEvery once and a while the opening 10 seconds will pop in my head including the Gold Nintendo logo spinning
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 429 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·2 days agoI got lucky and got a hand me down 64 from family. It really is the best way to play these games imo. Everything just makes sense with the controller compared too emulating it and playing with a traditional bluetooth gamepad. Though, irc they released a N64 gamepad controller for the switch, if that can be paired to PC i could totally see that being better. Though, all that really matters is that everyone is having fun playing it.

It certainly is fascinating though seeing these games made by small teams for older consoles paired up against something from the same studios today

It can be a bit awkward when you’re starting off or if someone doesn’t play along with the improv, but once everything starts moving smoothly it’s a fun time
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 428 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·3 days agoImprov definitely makes a lot of games better, even non party games

If you do the Bubble Shield thing, careful not to pull a me and jump off the edge while riding the high lol.

And I’m sure my feelings on warm climates & seasons like summer doesn’t help. I really want to like it though so I want to give it another try
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 426 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·5 days agoI played 2 with a friend a few years ago. 2 literally felt like more Galaxy. Which is great if you want more Galaxy, not so much if you want to try something a bit new
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 425 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·6 days agoIt makes me wish i had explored them when i was younger. I got like halfway through and had to return my copy to the library and never got to check it out again because one of the other Library Borrowers left it out and it got ruined
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 425 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish2·6 days agoI haven’t played the OG (outside of a little bit on Xbox through the re-release) but i can definitely understand why the differences might not be for everyone, especially with all the added stuff
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 425 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish1·6 days agoI like these more experimental remakes. Silent Hill 2’s Remake was the same way and it offered something new yet different which i really like. I really hope we get more of these experimental remakes

I’m not sure what i’m going to do on my Grounded run though
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldOPto Games@lemmy.world•Day 424 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playingEnglish1·7 days agoIt really is, i decided to check the price on Wii U and Wii the other day just for a reference and irc it was like 20$ at max. I know they were struggling with the Wii U era, but damn. 40$ is way too big of a jump
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•In a week dominated by Silksong and Borderlands, co-op roguelike Shape of Dreams still managed to launch on Steam as an instant top-sellerEnglish16·7 days agoI was going to comment the same thing. Maybe it’s just the circles i’m in, but like the only thing i’ve heard about it is the price and the performance issues on PC
MyNameIsAtticus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What size of a PC game you are comfortable with?English2·7 days ago40-70 GBs is the sweet spot for me. My Wi-Fi can download it within a day usually and I can fit a bunch of them onto my 1 TB SSD
Man, i played the first one when i was little. I always forget it had sequels beyond Riven though.
