I think it's less about anti-communist propaganda, there is still very much an abundance of that, and more about the absolutely dismal existence young people are being thrown into. Housing, schooling etc have all exploded in cost while wages have barely budged. It's not exactly fun to spend 50 or so hours every week being micro-managed and disrespected like slaves while everything you make gets eaten up paying to maintain your ability to keep coming back to work. Under those conditions you eventually realize that society existing as it does isn't benefiting you and you naturally begin looking for alternatives.
Sounds like a bit of an awkward "what now?" situation for the US. They took out the person they played up as being a dictator running everything, congratulations, except ,surprise, the country wasn't actually a one man dictatorship and nothing has changed.
I think a lot of millennials got contaminated with all the anti-SJW and gamergate type stuff, the result is a lot of them dislike oligarchs and big corps but think for some reason that woke communists are controlling the big corps.
I wouldn't be surprised if this whole Epstein debacle is partly what's causing the US government to be acting even more unhinged then usual. Guilty people tend to behave more aggressively.
For better or worse I don't remember hearing much about anything in school past the US civil war, and I even took an optional class specifically about war lol. Nothing about Korea, nothing about the US colonization of the Philippines, just extremely basic stuff.
What's missing is that NATO did a hell of a lot more then just impose a no-fly zone, they conducted 7000 bombing sorties and destroyed the Libyan military enough to allow basically anyone to walk in and take over.
It isn't difficult to find Americans that oppose the Christian nationalist on the hard right, problem is the vast majority are completely useless. They fall into the trap of thinking that they must do everything the opposite way that fascists do and defang themselves in the process while the fascist continue playing to win.

I don't know about anyone else but for me I just go with my experiences with this type of thing. Like for example if someone has a Tyler Durden or Joaquin Phoenix Joker pfp, I feel pretty confident assuming they hold some kind of Alt-right beliefs. Of course, I wouldn't jump straight into attacking someone over something like that alone, that sounds a bit silly to me.

Even if China and all those countries are indeed the most capitalist countries in the world, they are not the ones actively engaged in an open global crusade against anything and anyone leftist to the point of invading countries left and right. Yep, I'm American and I feel bad for myself as well. I've head to deal with non-stop bullshit such as Temp agencies outright refusing to even tell you the place you will be working right up until they send you in. Expecting to get benefits anywhere is a joke, the health insurance "benefits" provided in the places I've worked were just regular insurance you have to massively pay out of pocket for like any other, yet they still present it as a benefit.
