  • Oblige pickiness in boys? They'll be picky as men.

I feel like this isn't necessarily a bad thing... My son is super picky, and it's annoying for sure, but it doesn't deserve to be in the same list as dishonesty or aggression... It means he knows what he likes and won't let anyone push him into something he's not comfortable with. He'll try new things on occasion, but he has to be ready for it, if we push him he just digs in and refuses to budge. I've had the best results with "hey bud, want to try this? It's really good" and when he says no, "suit yourself, more for me." It doesn't work often, but when it does, it sticks. New food option unlocked. My wife will bargain with him, and she gets him to try stuff, but only to get what she's offering, even if he ends up liking it, he needs to keep up the appearance that he doesn't because it's been made into such a big deal...

  • If we're thinking about banging the green M&M, we're not thinking of her as tasty chocolate candy.

    Hey, speak for yourself.

  • I feel like "chose to have" is a bit strong when "chose not to abort" might be more accurate...

  • Have I just experienced youngsplaining?

  • Women are so cute and cute and cute and cute and cute and...

(My auto complete seems to be stuck in a rut...)

  • Not exactly - what was proven is that there's no way to distinguish between inertial frames of reference. There could be a universal frame of reference, which would most likely be the average velocity of all things in the universe. There's not much point in making a distinction in most cases, because if you can't detect it, it might as well not exist - but since we're making up time travel, we might as well make up a universal frame of reference, it doesn't break anything time travel hasn't already broken...

  • Once upon a time, there was a Linux distro that would fit on a single floppy, it was intended for system rescue, diagnostics, that sort of thing...

  • I don't think the OS was sophisticated enough to tell the difference... A drive letter is a drive letter...

  • As I recall, my windows 95 CD-ROM contained a bunch of floppy-sized .cab files in a folder, so it's entirely possible it was available as a set of floppies...

  • Now I want to do this at my job... I actually have a box of 5.25" floppies somewhere...

  • Welcome to the internet?

  • Because they know most people don't care, and this will blow over in a few more days.

  • Where will you get fuel?

  • My ads aren't targeted, at least I don't think they are... I honestly don't notice what they are for most of the time, so that's a failure right there, they're not memorable - but when I do notice, they're for either trump or sports betting, two things which I have negative interest in...

  • But it's obviously not the making up stories part that's bad, who the stories get made up about is far more important.

  • In Oklahoma, I'm sure it happens multiple times a day. In DC, probably not quite as often.

  • You people are unhinged...

Inb4 what do I mean "you people?"

  • First thing should be "were these folks targeted based on their orientation?"

Problem is, you can never make that determination, bigots will hide their bigotry (at least in a place where bigotry is not socially acceptable, which I think DC qualifies... Oklahoma for example would be different) so unless you have some other indication, or prior knowledge of the person involved, the outward appearance of (asking couple to tone it down because omg gay people) and (asking couple to tone it down because heavy PDA makes some people uncomfortable regardless of the sexes involved) is the same.

  • SILENCE!
