  • Thats my plan.

  • I work a job at an airport assisting the elderly and disabled with wheelchair assistance.

I cannot tell you, literally cannot tell you how many people sit in my wheelchair, and IMMEDIATELY start talking about the weather.

    Uggghhhhhh!

I would be pleasantly surprised if the conversation instead was like this:

    "So, hows your day going?"

"I murdered my wife and kids last night. Then I ate their corpses..."

"Really? That's fantastic. Hey, what operating system are you using?"

  • Easy.

If you're an American, don't trust one bit of American news. This whole internet thing is global. You guys know that right?

Try reading news from England, or France, or Germany.

Because I guarentee you, ALL American news outlets WILL have biased and slanted reporting. Remember when we won Vietnam? No? Oh, that's right. We LOST Vietnam, but our media was quite insistant at the time we won, and it was a sure thing.

Oh, I just realized Canada is probably also a good source for news. Bonus points if you live close enough to the border to pick up their OTA tv signals.

  • Ooooooook. Here's how I think this will play out.

She'll stand trial. Tons of evidence will be presented for how she's guilty. But then the courts will realize they can't convict trumps right hand, and basically call it a whoopsie.

Back around 2013 there was a police chase here in Cleveland Ohio. I'm going to present this to you how the media portrayed it at the time. You let me know where you figured out what really happened.

Ok, so the chase starts in front of the city courthouse. A man and woman got into their car. The man, who was the driver pulled out a gun, pointed it a cop across the street, and fired 1 bullet at the cops, and then sped off.

This created a police chase. Soon 10 police cars were chasing them. Police from neighboring districts, which even though they're still Cleveland police, usually act independant of each other. However they were called in to assist the chase which went on for nearly 2 hours.

The chase ended in an elementary school parking lot, where 137 shots were fired by 23 different police officers from 3 districts of Cleveland police. Both suspects were killed in the gun battle.

Did you catch it? Did you spot the bullshit? Well, lets continue.

In the court case that followed, the responding police officers were put on trial for homocide. The evidence showed that no gun was recovered to which police statements claimed they threw it out the window during the chase. It was never recovered. When questioned why they didn't submit dashcam evidence from one of the cop cars always on dash cam, they claimed it happened off camera.

The problem with that claim, is that the cop who was shot at to begin this chase never was farther than 45 feet away from them, and they were in frame the entire chase. At no point can you see them throw out a gun.

In the end, it was revealed there was never a gun. It was the car backfiring, and he didn't speed away, he casually drove off in a normal way. It wasn't until he was being rammed by a cop car, without his lights on, that he sped off.

The judge then agreed the cause of death for both the man and the woman was caused by a bullet fired by the police. The judge then chose NOT to convict a single police officer.

His logic? Well we know a cop killed them. But it's impossible to know which bullet it was that killed them, and which cop fired that bullet.

Each of this couple had over 40 bullets hit their body.

I fully suspect in this trial against Bondi a similiar situation. Where she's guilty, and everyone knows she's guilty, but the court finds a way to call it a oopsie-poopsie.

This is the world we live in.

  • Ha ha ha, yeah. Not like when I was a kid in the 80s, and everybody smoked. Walls were just brown.

    Just....all walls.

So glad that as generations went on, smoking habits have seemed to fall off a cliff.

Instead, we let 11 year olds order vapes from china now.

    Wait, what?

  • I'm in the process of buying a new house. So I was looking at one last week, and the smoke detector just kept chirping.

And I was just about to say "Did you know there's actually two types of these?"

And just as I was about to say that, I got sad in realizing that I'd then be obligated to elaborate, and now I'm spending 45 minutes talking about a topic that neither of us wants being discussed right now.

But it was in my head at that moment.

  • Nah. I find most people are just jackasses. The business owners just have the resources available to them to get away with more.

  • Went to space!

  • Feels weird upvoting this comment. I have to remind myself. It's not you I'm mad at. You're not the one doing this. You're just the messanger.

  • Dad!

  • You think linux people DON'T mock others for using windows? Normally in this situation I'd advise you to go use Lemmy for an hour, but...well....here we are, and you still hold that view.

  • Dad!

  • Is dad being an asshole? Or is dad being a dad and intentionally embarassing her?

His face and volume suggest asshole, like he's actually causing a scene.

But I could see this as having been a much less loud/angry encounter, with dad basically giving his daughter shit by being as dramatic as she is at home. And this whole encounter is being told through the daughters perspective, who inflated the scene/comic.

  • "They" meaning Luke and Leia? Or "They" meaning the writers?

  • I thought I was the only one who'd watch this guy!

  • Thjs dog has done more in a few months than most people ever will in their whole lives.

  • Illegal where? I have to go to a novelty candy store in my area, because it's the only place I can think of that sells them....but it's legal here.

  • 30 years from now??? Shit! That's how I've been describing this decade since 2001.

.......oh fuck. I guess that means we've had several decades of being in the worst dumpster fire of a timeline.

  • I don't know what a zozzone is. I don't know what a guanciale is. I don't know what a fennel salsiccia is. The only way I know what passata is, is if you used voice to text and it screwed up the word pasta. I don't know what pecorino is. I don't know what bain marie is.

Egg yolks....hey I know this one!

The point I'm trying to make here, is that I see the picture, have zero clue what it is, and am offended nobody has offered to make this for me before today.

  • Doesn’t demand you install its app, browser is fine.
