  • Prince Edward Island looking like Mike Wazowski every time he's in a commercial.

  • I only back into my parking space at home. I'll gladly spend the extra time when I'm awake in the evening if it means that I don't have to think about backing out in the morning.

  • I play too much Skyrim (between the various copies I've owned, I have ~3.5k hours) and one of the ways I keep it repayable is by using the Enaisiaion overhauls that another commenter mentioned.

They're made to be largely "vanilla+" type mods, but they overhaul nearly everything. Races, perks, standing stones, the magic system, werewolves & vampires, and enchantments. He also has one that adds a faith system where you can worship the various deities of Tamriel and I think that one is a must have at this point.

  • Lol it's mostly a joke, no worries. I use OpenSUSE but got assigned Debian, which is completely fine

  • This just makes me feel like a heretic because it doesn't line up

  • My sister's cat is also named Millie! Except she's a grey long hair instead of a tortie. Hopefully yours is behaving herself better than ours lol

  • For impact: hateful or abusive content

    For accuracy: child abuse

  • It absolutely is. AI piss yellow filter, AI font, the red band around the bottom gets covered by the back of the boat instead of continuing around.

  • No worries there! And it is quite nice, I must say.

  • I walk to the store, I check what's there, I ask an employee for help, then make my own decision. If it's shit, I don't get it again and tell who I know to avoid it. I don't get products that people I trust have had bas experiences with.

Advertisements are lying. Every dollar spent on marketing is a dollar that could have been spent either improving your product or paying your staff. If you advertise to me, I will actively avoid your product.

  • I also said walk through. Doesn't matter where you are, walking or driving, you will not see ads for things unless you are actively looking at a business advertising itself.

  • Fun fact: not where I live. Billboards are not allowed within 18 metres of a road, and any business signage has to be both on the property of the business and at least 4 metres away from the road. You can easily walk around down town and see exactly 0 ads and it is bliss.

  • Advertising unethical

  • I was about to comment the same. Maybe the reason the kid grows up with issues is that their food kept getting stolen

  • Reporting back, you were absolutely correct. Hardware acceleration was turned back on, and turning it off fixed the problem.

  • No it's not true, though it is a close approximation. Another has the actual formula, but the proof that it's incorrect is that 32°F = 0°C, while (32-30)/2 = 1.

  • I'll give it a shot. I don't use flatpaks, but I think I've already disabled hardware acceleration for a previous issue? I'll report back once I've checked/tried it out.

  • Nope, just uBlock. If I disable uBlock before loading the page everything works fine as well, so I'm pretty sure it's uBlock.

But I'm on Linux (openSuse Tumbleweed) and have had some interesting "distro specific" bugs in recent months, so I'm chalking it up to "my OS + Firefox" and not "uBlock"

  • Mine isn't working flawlessly with this exact set up, but it's just forcing me to refresh the page every time I load a new video. Still no ads.
