  • Yeah bus drivers are fun, I had one that got suspended when they found out he got 3 speeding tickets driving us to school one year. I guess it isn't a direct cops report it to the school, a middle school student has to tell their parents and the parents have to say something to the school before they realized lol

    If China wanted Israel to stop what they were doing, they would have said stop or we'll stop allowing sales to Israel, and Israel would have sit and stayed, or gone under.

  • For many that is probably true. For others who are hopeless romantics, we run 40 hour a week jobs from 16-18 while balancing a girl friend, trying to run through courses and turn out decent grades and a social life going into college while averaging 4 hours sleep a night. It's fun at the time, but I really wish I would have learned more about taking time for myself and planning out next steps for myself as opposed to just thrusting into as many syllabus hours, while balancing it all going into college. I didn't do bad at the University I went to, but really if I learned to step back and not be facing every challenge at the last minute all the time I think it would have prepped me for planning more of what to do with my time when I'm out of college.

    Like get a Job, sure that's a requirement... But that isn't a career to me. A career is planned things you strive for and goals set by yourself to make sure you want to land yourself.

    When the courses are done, the hours worked, the goals met. I never learned how to properly make my own goals, just how to follow boring structural requirements... Because you're told you have too. And if you don't come from money, you can't exactly just get a loan to start a company or buy a house because you have a degree... You are 10's of thousands in student loan debt. So you enter a dead end job otherwise you can't pay the rent, and maintain a relationship, help your family, or whatever other obligations you feel you have.

  • I don't see how an act of Congress could do it for the same legal reasons Trump can't "nationalize" elections, and the same reason I believe the supreme Court upheld this.

    The States have the right to organize how votes are performed, but no one in the U.S. has a right to vote in reality. They have a right to not be discriminated against during voting.

    Let's say Florida decided they won't have a popular vote for president and the currently elected representatives vote on the electors.

    Every person in Florida just lost their right to vote, but they did not discriminate in doing so, and it could be legal. The residents would have to be pissed at their State government for allowing such a vote to pass.... But federally, it could be constitutional.

    Gerrymander remapping has been deemed unconstitutional in other states specifically because they were trying to manipulate representation of certain races to change the results.

  • No, I used to drag out lucid dreams for long times on purpose, but the times when I can't see anything, like say struggle to picture what a spoon looks like in my head outside of just wrote memory, no idea. Or id definitely turn that off as much as possible. The gaps where I can't see much I find I am definitely unhappier.

    Edit: those are times when I find myself just closing my eyes struggling to sleep just looking at almost static, trying to picture someone's face I can get to about a half circle that will seem obscured by black without even being able to picture their likeness.

  • I don't know much about the topic, but I know my brain goes through cycles(?) maybe. Sometimes I can visualize everything, close my eyes and just picture and create what I want. Lucid dreams whatever. Other times I'll weeks/ months without being able to make a singular image

    Subject A says, "Ron told me he committed a crime"

    Subject B says "I'm suing you for divulging information that should be covered by the NDA"

    It would be admitting that the statement occurred. Thus now the entire NDA is void, and those court records can be used as testimony in a criminal investigation.

  • I just had to look up what a 5th point harness was, we didn't have seatbelts on school buses most of the time. If we did, they were usually one strap that covered the entire bench for multiple people.

    How are you guys supposed to hit your head on the roof going over a speed bump with harnesses like that?

  • No an NDA can't cover withholding information about a crime. Asking someone to not divulge information under an NDA pertaining to a crime, is in itself a crime/an unenforceable nda

  • Oh I wasn't saying the drugs don't have success. But the commercials make hardly any sense to me. If a new drug comes out that will help with someone's specific conditions, your doctor should be telling you about it I feel. At most, asking your doctor, hey I have been seeing these symptoms occuring latelyis there something that may help better than what I'm currently using.

  • Not so much in a 2 party system. Many of them will turn a blind eye and not even care to hear anything that one of their party members did because it would make the party look bad to admit that was happening in their ranks.

    A good example is that Matt Gaetz clearly trafficked and had sex with a minor, his assistant is in prison for it and took a plea deal that he would testify in court for a shorter sentence. Yet in exchange for him stepping away from the party, they chose to not even let the charges continue, they just took them off the table in case they want to bring them back up later.
