  • She's broken crossties before. When she had thrush in her hooves, she broke out of some when I was trying to treat the infection. She is old, but does NOT act like it. She's strong physically and in her will lol. It's typical of her breed, especially Arabian mares. They're my fave breed because they're a challenge at times, but also so smart and bond with people more than other breeds.

  • Oh hell no. If she wanted out, she'd break them. She stands still in the crossties because she loves the attention I give her.

  • Thank you. And it was pneumonia. It sucked but the meds I'm on for it are helping.

As for Sandy's blanket, it's the most fashionable one I've seen so far at the barn. Rainbow is totally ber color

  • I'll get the bbq ready

  • Thank you! And yes! I had a few barn cats hanging out with and helping me. It was nice. Weather wasn't bad and it was quiet.

  • Hi

  • My high school bullies broke into my house when I was home alone and only left because my dog went after them. My mom called the police and the school and they gave the whole "boys will be boys" speech. We moved to a new school district shortly after.

  • I call that barn cat Orion. Idk what his name actually is. I have names for almost all of the animals lol. Most are 1000000% incorrect.

  • 11 years lol. She looks like a baby because she's little lol

  • I'm one of those people who got diagnosed with lupus. My life is just a House meme now.

I also deal with DNS that totally can't be DNS like 3x/week

  • Ty! I'm contemplating calling off of work because I'm so winded all the time, but I wfh and my boss is a dickhead when it comes to taking time off unexpectedly. I'm also severely immunocompromised, which is why a cold developed into pneumonia in the first place.

  • When I was a kid, I played Black and White constantly and my dad printed off a complete guide from GameFAQs and put it in a binder with page protectors and everything. It was so awesome.

  • Lmao right? She knows what she likes lol.

And thank you! I got some more meds called in that will hopefully help me out.

  • Sandy is 26, so she's been fully grown for a bit lol. She struggles with her weight, so I like to blanket her so she doesn't lose as much. She almost died last winter and it's taken all year to get her back into shape. I have her on a much better diet now since she moved farms and she has so many good people looking out for her, but I'm still a worry wart.

She's fine with being blanketed, thankfully. She's just a typical Arabian mare and causes problems on purpose. She's hard to wrangle most days because she likes to play chase with me before we do grooming and all that jazz. The problem is that her current pasture is multiple acres and has a whole herd in it that are all nosy and bothersome. God forbid any geldings try to say hi to us. She has absolutely no patience for little boys

  • Yo I totally get that time entry shit. I get automatic hate mail from my boss if I don't hit 6 hrs of billable time. There's a lot of unbillable duties I do in my position, so a lot of days I don't hit my 6 and it's annoying as fuck.

My boss is also a passive aggressive pos that I could rant about all day.

  • I'm in the easterm part of the country on top of everything else. In a very poor area. I'm looking at a commute if I can't find a remote position. I currently work fully remote because I am very immunocompromised. I'm terrified of even hybrid positions getting me ill. I caught a cold that's slowly turning into pneumonia and I just can't fight it off. I have the feeling I'm going to end up hospitalized from it.

  • I feel like I could also be on the chopping block if my employer decides that they're done with me. The only thing going for me is that it's a small company and our growth in clientele alone is keeping me employed. If we are down by one person, we are absolutely slammed with work. It's ridiculous.

  • Damn that really sucks. I'm sorry you aren't appreciated for your skills and have to take on the role of teacher instead of doing your actual work.

  • I live outside of a large city and would be commuting into it. Wanting to live kinda rural and work in tech was not a good idea, but I'm in too deep now. -_-
