Thanks to the community for helping me feel more sane in 2025.
People sometimes pushed back and when I'd look into an issue I could see where they were coming from If I didn't agree with them 100%
Most of the other times, you guys helped me learn and let me know that I wasn't alone in the wasteland.
Love you all. Happy new year
I just heard about a similar scam where the date orders expensive alcohol and then ditches. The restaurant has hired the date to bring a guy and has given them nothing expensive to drink. The restaurant charges full price and the guy's stuck with the bill
I really appreciated their coverage of the Israel/Iran war as well.
They initially called Iran a paper tiger and then later apologized for it and gave some great analysis about why the war ended when it did (Iran seeks peace, and iron dome was running out of ammo)

When I heard that, my first thought was that the vote was rigged.
To answer your question though, pay packages are often dealt with using potential value. Like, we'll give you a billion shares at 2$ if you're able to raise the value of all shares to 4000$
On an unrelated note, has anyone else noticed that the rhetoric around the DPRK being crazy has settled down a lot since they've gotten a missile that can hit DC?
I just heard somewhere that the Chinese were producing and installing so much solar that they're single handedly going to be responsible for avoiding the worst effects of climate change. Some how, that's still not enough.
To be fair Russia is A bad guy in the war. Unfortunately, there is no good guy in this war, so please don't take that as a Ukraine/US good type of slop
This is funny to me because the purpose of NATO is to strengthen the American industrial military complex, and the alliance is dangerously close to falling apart because there's little chance that NATO backs up Poland
She's just trying to fit in with her peers
