  • I'm not an engineer, but I've been curious if that's where the inlets have to be for the best efficiency. Do all these late gen aircraft look similar because it's just the most efficient shape?

  • This is such bs. Assuming an annual return of 7% (historical average) $2 000 000 would get you $140 000. I don't know about anyone else here, but I live on far less than $140 000/year. If your bare bones living expenses were $36 000 that would mean you'd need $514 285.71. There's investment strategies that pay out far more than 7% as well. I don't understand this fear mongering. Getting more people investing would probably get BlackRock a lot more money than telling people that there's no hope and you'll die poor

  • They seem to be pushing it a lot more since their magic anti missile lazer weapon has come out. It'll be interesting to see if it works

  • Only slightly related, I can't imagine this fight going well for either party.

Iran is 100% capable of sinking a big US ship. That's going to make the US commit to a longer conflict. Which is going to end up with more ships sunk.

This could be the start of something huge.

  • She's just trying to fit in with her peers

  • After you hear why please talk to the Canadian government

  • She squared up quicker than her security

  • It's like he's always doing a wrestling promo, and I low key love it

  • Good point. South Africa should kidnap him

  • Thanks to the community for helping me feel more sane in 2025. People sometimes pushed back and when I'd look into an issue I could see where they were coming from If I didn't agree with them 100% Most of the other times, you guys helped me learn and let me know that I wasn't alone in the wasteland. Love you all. Happy new year

  • I just heard about a similar scam where the date orders expensive alcohol and then ditches. The restaurant has hired the date to bring a guy and has given them nothing expensive to drink. The restaurant charges full price and the guy's stuck with the bill

  • Likely all names scrubbed except for Democrats. Then those people will be jailed. (At least my prediction)

  • I really appreciated their coverage of the Israel/Iran war as well. They initially called Iran a paper tiger and then later apologized for it and gave some great analysis about why the war ended when it did (Iran seeks peace, and iron dome was running out of ammo)

  • It's funny how a podcast about war gives me so much information that obviously informs my country's policy, and I'm not American, Ukrainian or Israeli.

  • When I heard that, my first thought was that the vote was rigged.

To answer your question though, pay packages are often dealt with using potential value. Like, we'll give you a billion shares at 2$ if you're able to raise the value of all shares to 4000$

  • Just when we needed him most

  • On an unrelated note, has anyone else noticed that the rhetoric around the DPRK being crazy has settled down a lot since they've gotten a missile that can hit DC?

  • In May of this year they installed 93 GW. That was almost 100 panels a second

  • I just heard somewhere that the Chinese were producing and installing so much solar that they're single handedly going to be responsible for avoiding the worst effects of climate change. Some how, that's still not enough.
