  • I wonder if this will work for people that never got their adult teeth to begin with. My mom is missing like 4, and her mom 7. I'm sure they'd love to get some real replacements

  • This is like the textbook definition of, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

(Not that I actually believe it's good men making these decisions)

  • There's an arcade game in Ooblets that's really fun. It's basically JezzBall, but at an arcade-appropriate speed, with cute graphics. My partner and I have played it for hours

  • Weed has helped me figure alot out about myself as well. The main thing is that I really don't like spending all my time stressed out. It feels physically uncomfortable. I had never noticed that before I had THC, to calm me down for the first time in my life. It's helped me break down a lot of walls my anxiety built, which were keeping me from parts of myself.

    Tolerance is so unfair lol

  • This sounds, to me, a lot like being driven by revenge. Yes it can work, you can force yourself to move with spite, but it's not healthy, and eventually you're going to have a reckoning. "Paralyzing" anxiety is not good for you. Using it to squeeze every last drop of productivity out of yourself is going to leave you wrung out.

I am, of course, not a therapist. I recommend you discuss this with one.

  • I would definitely expect the positive effects of HRT to reduce anxiety

  • I hate to be the bearer of bad (good?) news, but, at least based on this post, it does not sound like you've defeated your anxiety. You're just anxious that you're not anxious enough lol

  • This is a great story to share if anyone ever claims a market will regulate itself

  • Kyrsten Sinema did the same in the US senate.

  • All my IRL friends have been sharing the same memes we see here

  • Saying the same thing over and over again in different conversations would be super useful if your goal is to train an AI to listen to calls

  • He made it all the way to middle-of-nowhere PA, but he was still carrying all the evidence on him? Sounds like they found Spartacus

  • Ooh, that's peak weird spot time. I'd look, like, behind the couch, in case I set it on the back. Or if you have any weird little surfaces, check their vicinities. There's a chance you put multiple things there, and when searching for one, mixed the other in somewhere close at hand. At least, if you're like me lol

  • My problem with keeping screws in a safe place is that, by the time I see them again, I've forgotten what they go to

  • If you really want to hide it, in a place your really won't lose it, put it inside another computer, and leave it disconnected

  • I've been starting with just my phone, since it's what I lose the most. If it's not in my pocket, it has a designated spot in each room, mostly next to where I usually sit. Since it's something I use a lot throughout the day, I get a lot of practice at making the habit.

For other things, I really like the launchpad approach. I keep my wallet, keys, sunglasses, coins, etc. in a box right by the door. The first thing I do when I get home is empty my pockets and put everything in that box. That way it's always there. Unless my partner takes it lol

  • My D&D character can connect a limited number of people telepathically for a certain amount of time. Less people than we have in our party. It always feels like selecting an away team when I do it lol

  • Impulse velocity is definitely a standard. That's why they sometimes say half impulse, or other variations. They do say full impulse sometimes, but, IIRC, mostly when they have been, or are planning to move at various levels of impulse
