  • I've been using Linux mint for over a year now. The only problems I've ever needed Windows for is

    a) playing obscure Japanese games

    b) translating said Japanese games

  • People should be allowed to do things they're bad at, however...

    I get annoyed when somebody does something poorly but with confidence, as they can easily convince others that they're actually good

    Easiest example of this is singing. I'm nowhere near perfect, but I've had training so I can spot when somebody is making rookie mistakes and the like

    Vtubers are the biggest perpetrators here. I think the only ones where I've liked their singing are Susui and Calliope. Surprise surprise, they both have backgrounds in music

  • Movie/TV characters always make it through the craziest plot and somehow not get forever traumatized by it. I wish I could be like that, but instead I stuggle to even make/keep therapy appointments.

  • I was thinking this when I watched dandadan. Like, almost all main story arcs in the first season centre around some form of sexual assault, and you're telling me the MCs weren't scarred by them in any way, shape or form???

  • Oh yeah, 100% I played for the first ~3 years OW was out and had a blast for the first two

    It was after that where I started getting good and saw the flaws of the game. As you said, too many characters counter other characters, and the constricted 6v6 (and later 5v5) made individual performance stressful in many games

    If you're looking for a similar (but imo much better/laid back experience) then TF2 is a great game, where the medic supporter is the strongest class in the game

  • I've donated blood twice. If that's all there was to it, I'd do it more

    But the incessant calling. I remember it being once or twice a month I'd pick up and it'd be somebody trying to guilt trip me into donating blood

    Like I'd love to do it, but only when I'm free and when I want to. Pushing me to do it just made me block the number and never donate since then

    I say block, because telling them to stop doesn't stop them from doing anything
