  • Wait, I thought this game was a depiction of what we subject horses to, using a horror lens to drive home the point? I've never heard of something less sexy?

  • I primarily use Linux, and since GOG doesn't have a native Linux version, it's just much more convenient to use steam

  • I work in hospitality, and if there was one group of people that were the worst to serve, it would be vegans. They'd never tell you before they got here that they were vegan, and yet still expect a full meal at a place that does a fixed menu

You'd at least expect somebody who has such a strict diet to check the menu beforehand and tell the place. We don't have the same problem with FODMAP or coeliacs. Just bloody vegans

  • I used to be like you. Way back when, I would love to cheat currency into single player games with a little help from cheat engine. The biggest culprits were BTD5 and PvZ1/2, and it'd give me a kick just being able to go through and buy everything before using it all while feeling unstoppable

Since then, I've gone back and replayed the games without cheating, and I honestly regret using cheat engine. It felt way more rewarding getting everything at a more sustainable rate, like I really earned the item

You also talk about feeling like you earn the ability to cheat, but, looking back on my own experience, I can safely say that I was terrible at gauging whether or not I should use a hack. Turns out, when you have a shiny item in a shop that you could come back in a few hours for or get instantly now for free, more often than not we'll choose the latter

  • Relevant comment I left on a similar post:

It's even worse in Australia. A long while back we had a really bad bushfire that resulted in something like 70 people dying called black Friday. More recently we had a bushfire that resulted in over 150 people dying and 400 injured called black Saturday

It's honestly insulting to see these corporations come in and have these black Friday sales, showing that they don't care or respect for the history of Australia or its people, all while they flaunt the masquerade of "It's for you!!!"

  • Playing though persona 4 golden. After some headaches with denuvo, I'm finally having a good time

  • Mine was blasted off by a wizard on penis inspection day

  • I don't get the obsession with ai upscaling

The lines are particularly weird around bugs and very off-putting

  • Half of this comment section Is hating on anime for no reason and the other half is people just going yeah why are they so similar lol

  • When failure means having to pay another thousand or more to retake the subject and spending another year at uni, I can understand why some people would take the easy route

  • I'm assuming there'd be no online multiplayer or modding, as they'd be outside the realm of the game - it's content made by other people (and it's more interesting if you exclude them anyway), and I'm assuming there'd be no more updates (so only current or previous patches)

So we'd be looking for replayable single player games

    1. Minecraft. If that's not on your list then you're joking
    2. Terraria. Sandbox like minecraft, but the more legacy-focused scope of the game would be a nice change
    3. Factorio. This game is called cracktorio for a reason
    4. Monster Hunter world. Very replayable when you want to hit big monsters with big swords
    5. Maimai. Bet you didn't expect a rhythm game to be here, bitch! With all other video games gone, maimai would explode in popularity, and I'd finally be able to play maimai locally instead of only in the city on the occasional day off. Yes, this list is just a place holder for the real number 1
  • It's true that most of his romhacks are at the very least slightly harder than their original counterparts, but the one I'd still recommend is sacred gold/storm silver

My sense of difficulty is a bit skewed as I tend to mainly do hardcore nuzlockes, but I recently played through storm silver normally and it was a blast. The gym leaders needed a bit more thought when fighting as each of their pokemon were more powerful, but my ragtag group of 6 I ran with only ever failed once in the whole playthrough, and that was against the elite 4 (so somewhat expected)

  • Drayano made a series of rom hacks for pokemon that, to be frank, are better than the originals. Would highly recommend if you're interested in adding a little spice to your next game

  • ...would I be able to get in on the playtest?

  • Good meme, but it'd be funnier if the caption was in the image itself, instead of weirdly lying about the joke
