  • How have you fought against internalized racism and taken accountability of displaying internalized racism?

  • How do hunger strikes work? Don't your enemies want to you starve? In what ways do hunger strikes not benefit your enemies?

I'm very lost on this topic, if I starved it would bring my enemies pleasure. Nothing productive would happen. So surely, the context in which a hunger strike happens is important.

  • How does that become a consequemce of it?

  • I have no idea how to patch the crotch and butt area of the pants. Is the there a method you use where they won't burst the second you squat down?

  • That's super sweet of you guys. I'm happy to hear that he has your support. Not all dads work on themselves by attending such things. He's more open to working on his problems than many men. Perhaps he has more potential than you all know. He's literally already going places. Keep it up!

  • He sounds well-intentioned. Is there any way you can convince him his own lifestyle is worth spending money on? I bet you've already tried.

  • Congratulations on doing better financially. It sounds like you have a skill that wouldn't leave you out of a job for long. I hope you're wrong and that your nervous system is just overreacting.

Math helps, though. If I can assign numerical values to cost and benefit, I feel a lot more comfortable about spending money or disposing of things that I don't need.

I still don't really know how much things are supposed to cost. It all seems like way too much. Like how nearly every piece of clothing that lasts as long as I hope it'll last now costs like $100-$200 US dollars. I can't buy that stuff. Everything else seems to break apart within several months to a couple years of regular use. Idk if that's normal. $15 clothing used to last years longer. Some of my low-cost highschool clothes still last me while my new, equally expensive to much more expensive clothes, do not. I've found this extremely anxiety inducing.

  • I'm sorry. It's a lot of pressure and the possibilities of which parts of our lives it can touch is many.

  • Fuck major grocery stores for throwing just fine products away. This is why I sometimes buy products with damaged packaging. It's the tiniest difference I'm making, but it feels good. It's ridiculous that people in charge of the decision to dump food don't do these little things that feel good. How is dopamine from profits better than dopamine from feeding thousands of people?

  • He straight up is

  • What exactly is a TEM?

Edit: A microscope that kills bugs by taking the coolest images of them. No judgement, even if I wouldn't do it myself, I'm very glad other people do it for everyone else to see. Speaking of, if you get it I hope you upload some images! Lots of insects have a surprising amount of details up close, like their true number of eyes.

I feel this process could give an already-dead bug dignity. I try to rescue bees sometimes, but some of them are expired already when I try to help them. I really like bees so I wish I had a way to preserve their image, and return them to nature.

  • There's an essay called False Witnesses by Fred Clark that explains the popularity of a person I once knew. They partially openly abused people in front of others, and partially did it covertly at far more instense levels. They somehow won over people anyways. They loved talking shit and lied compulsively. Saying things like they saw ghosts and other stuff.

They were literally 20 years old when they tried intimidating children on social media platform meant for children by talking about how their boyfriend did martial arts, and she claimed he could kick their asses if he wanted to. I later told him about this and, like me, he found this seriously pathetic. As I assumed, she never showed him her children's social media profile and didn't know she was doing this. He soon broke up with her.

Of course she was one of those people who repetitively posted about how they look mean but they're actually a really cool and nice person if you get to know her. (They were very much not cool or nice.)

She made many new profiles a year, testing and trying on different sheep's clothing, and would try to add people who always blocked her each time she got a new profile. Mainly old victims of hers that she clearly only hoped to hurt again. She loved talking about how she was a vengeful person, which really meant she liked lashing out at people who spoke out about her because she feels entitled to abusing people and them staying silent about it.

But somehow some people took her side after I left her and talked about her abuse. They knew she was abusive and a compulsive liar. But they keep her around. Going along with her drama.

If you read the essay, you'll understand what I mean by people did this intentionally with malice, and there were a small few people who may still actually believe her bullshit. Other than that, she burns through people and is constantly scrambling for new ones. But she's had loyalty from a small group for over a decade. They rather knowingly be in an in-group based on bullshit than sit with the ugly, complicated truths and stories of abuse shared by people who've survived her.

  • Does it have to be thee aesthetic of wide eyed cartoonish ones with triangle ears? Because I'm neutral to that, but I do specifically like the style of Adam Savage's realistic lion. Does me wanting to rock that lion mask count as me being a furry?

  • I feel like anyone could love having a special fursona if only they find the right art style. I don't dig the most famous kind so much, but I love Adam Savage's old lion mask.

Do you have to have enjoy fursonas as a kink to be a furry? Or does it only require enjoying animal masks and costumes as an art?

  • There are at least a few methods. It's best to look it up. I was told EMDR specialists are somewhat rare because they need a high level of training, so it could be ideal to try it with one first.

  • If you've got a lot of trauma, repressed rage, anger, depression, etc... I know a person who says they know multiple people that say EMDR changed their life forever. If you've got those things, I truly reccomend trying EMDR. People can literally get diseases from not processing grief and more issues from all of these things.

Imo EMDR is far better than checking out. I can also see it being good for people who think about treating complex trauma through psychedelics, but can't/don't want to trip.

  • Maybe you could use this as an opportunity to see if another kind of therapy/therapist will do better. Without my old therapists becoming unavailable I wouldn't have discovered special kinds of therapy and new therapists, and see which ones do and don't work for me. I felt comfortable with multiple therapists, but only one has worked as well because they do a special kinds of therapy i haven't experienced before.

Think of it as extra experience even if your current therapist is practically perfect.

  • I'm sorry your therapist is leaving on top of all that. If the situation is this dire, could you get a fill in therapist while she's gone? In the US, even if you're getting a rarer kind of therapy, Psychology Today's website has therapists you can filter down to exact kind of therapists and therapy and coverage for you needs.

My psychiatry office said they couldn't hook me up to exact therapy resources I need unless they picked a general therapist that, by chance, just happened to be what I want. So I asked around, and turns out my rare kind of therapist are on the website under my insurance.

Aside from that resource, here's a Covid-Concious Therapist Directory for both, in and outside of the US and Canada, plus "Brazil - Colombia - France - India - Australia Italy - Ireland - Japan - Malaysia - Mexico - New Zealand - Northern Mariana Islands - Singapore - United Arab Emirates - United Kingdom - Trinidad"

Certain therapists on there can seem pretty leftist. What i don't like about this website is that I can't find a way to filter it down to what Psychology Today's website lets me filter options down to. Filters seem to only ask what state I'm in.

  • How did you make sure it didn't go in either lung, and successfully went straight into the stomach?

How does a baby feed while sleeping? I didn't know they do that. Why do you disagree with doing that when they're younger? Is it because there's less bonding when they eat by themselves?
