Well, 2026 is easy because neither of them will be on that ballot. That's why midterms are tough for incumbents, because there's less motivation for their party to turn out, but the aggrieved opposition are highly motivated to turn out as a referendum on the current administration.
2028, who knows man. Anything can happen between now and then. I feel like if someone voted for Trump in 2020 or 2024 then they are terminally stupid.
Nationalistic sentiments like that are part of the reason why we're in this mess to begin with. Start being critical of your government today. Never be satisfied with the status quo. Don't accept the meager good in spite of the overwhelming bad. Fight to change things for the better so that you can say you are proud of the positive change you made in your country, rather than celebrating merely being born or living here.
I have tried playing nice with these people - truly, I have. I've listened to their side of the issue, I've given them the benefit of the doubt, and I've engaged with them in good faith for years hoping that compassion and empathy along with facts and science have the capacity to change minds, albeit slowly.
The simple truth is that some people need to be bullied. They need to be ridiculed and made to feel foolish, because otherwise they have no motivation to better themselves.
We, as a collective, have gone too soft on these folk. We treat all of their worst ideas and base impulses as having the same merit as those of a well researched and educated political policy.
Because of that, we're stuck arguing the absurd with morons, desperately trying to convince them that the earth is round, those clouds in the sky are just vaporized water, and vaccines won't give you autism or make you gay, instead of approaching reasonable disagreement like "should we levy a 1% sales tax or issue a one-time bond to pay for necessary infrastructure repair?" and other such sleep-inducing matters you used to be able to find on C-SPAN.
As for the pedophilia, his various comments over the years sexualizing minors (including his own daughter), eyewitness accounts of him entering teen pageant dressing rooms unannounced, his close friendship with Epstein, and his general unwillingness to cooperate with releasing unredacted versions of the files are just about all the evidence you need to have a reasonable suspicion that he is involved with the trafficking or rape of children. Unfortunately we probably won't know the whole truth until after he leaves office or dies because we live in a clown country where the chief executive is immune to consequences.
I tried doing Ironman a while back. Not even on classic, just on whatever the latest patch was. It was only getting easier with time and I wanted my name on that leaderboard. In my mind, it didn't seem like it would be that difficult as long as I played carefully.
I gave up after level 20. I didn't die, but I had a few close calls and figured it wasn't going to be worth it to grind out 90+ more levels using the worst gear in the game and no healing or stat boosting items.
That dominoes shit makes no sense to me. I've tried to look up the rules multiple times online and then I go into the game and try to make a legal move and the game won't let me.
Far from the worst. Steyer and Bloomberg were absolutely worse candidates, they just had the funds to stay solvent for long enough for American Democrats to tell them so.
Would it help if it came out down the line that he had Musk fuck with the voting machines? I'm still not convinced everything was above the board for the last election.
Winning every single swing state in a rematch election just reeks of foul play.
This is what I was going to say. It's one thing to hold your nose and do your job to protect prominent politicians, but Trump would never be satisfied with just professionalism. He demanded absolute loyalty over all else, which is why in my opinion the attempt in Butler was as close as it was - he clearly surrounded himself with people who were pro-Trump first and USSS agents second. Incompetent fools who didn't even bother to set up a perimeter or secure the site where he was speaking. Their only qualities are their willingness to swear fealty to Trump and nothing else.
Colorado tried that already and the SCOTUS ran interference for the criminal felon Trump.
So unfortunately, anything that California does now in that regard is performative, as there is now legal precedent that the sitting president can incite a mob through stochastic terrorism to overthrow the government if they lose the election.
In what I assure you is a completely unrelated off-topic discussion, which is the more effective surface-to-air missile platform? The Stinger or the IGLA?
So, these idiots didn't learn their lesson the first time with the colossal flop that was Stadia and now they want to convince us that, this time for sure, we really don't want to own our own hardware and cloud computing is the future?
These guys should not be getting a single bent penny for convincing people to switch over to cloud computing when their AI slop machines are responsible for the scarcity that is causing hardware prices to be completely uneconomical.
Step 1. Commit
crimeact of civil service, Luigi-style.Step 2. Submit yourself to ICE using a false identity for voluntary deportation.
Step 3. Allow the U.S. government to smuggle you out of the country where they no longer have jurisdiction to prosecute you.
Step 4. Laugh as the crypto-fascists get up on stage and boast about how tough on crime they are.
