  • The wig is well worth it imo. I'm wearing one while my natural hair grows out. They shouldn't be scratchy if you get a good one, but you also need to learn how to maintain it. I use a wig with synthetic hair and it should last for a while, but I have to be careful around things like ovens in order to not have any damage.

You could try to use fabric softener to really soften up those cheap wigs. They do tangle easily unfortunately

  • That sort of thing goes on your record though. You don't simply leave the service without the government knowing. They will literally put a warrant out for your arrest

  • Defected? Like went to a different country?

  • One can't just quit the National guard. There's a contract that holds them for a period of time. Imagine somebody signs a 6-year contract in 2022. I don't think they can be held liable for Trump's actions when it wasn't even clear he was going to actually run again. I signed a 4-year contract as an active duty service member in 2021. I got out in January last year and so I'm thankful for that. But every day or so I have to think about what my colleagues would have to decide. They're not in it to subjugate people. They're in it for a steady career and because they believed in a liberal America and looking to make the world a more stable place. The military is a sword and it really depends on who's using it, whether it's good or bad.

  • I love natural things like the B-2

  • I remember that manga. that was a ride

  • Strategically transfer equipment to alternate location

  • I'm not a huge fan since I have a drunkard in my basement. I haven't had any alcohol since Christmas at my family's house before then. I haven't had any since September. It's really not worth it and going without saves me money

  • Was the FIFA Peace Prize not good enough?

  • Protected by empty promises of a rules based international order

  • Not again please for the love of God

  • Holy anachronism! Is that brass?

  • He's really gung-ho about killing people. Less legality more lethality

  • Those videos can be deceptive, because people on the far right tend to promote them a lot. It's because that sort of thing is scary, like a plane crash. But despite well-known investigations and news stories, plane crashes are not that common and traveling by plane is the safest form of travel. It's the same with trans people.

My Hope and dream is that everybody can explore their own gender identity and not be judged for it. If they don't want to gender bend or want to go back to their gender at birth, I hope they can get the resources they need.

But transgender medicine is life-saving medicine. I know because I have first-hand experience. Had I not transitioned, my life would be more of a hell than it currently is.

I know some people on Lemmy are probably not happy with your opinions, but I'm always willing to talk to people. Thanks for listening! <3

  • The number of trans people has exploded! But this is more to do with it being socially acceptable. It's like being left handed Long story short, gender dysphoria and people being trans has always been a thing, but with more acceptance comes more visibility

Detransitioners get a bad rap that they don't deserve. But that comes from people using their detransition to fight against trans rights. I've never met someone who's detransitioned, but I wouldn't ever hold it against them. It's incredibly hard to transition either way, and many of those support networks exist for trans people, but not for those who transition to their sex at birth.

Edit: Actually I have met a detransitioner, but he had done so because his family and country were hostile towards him

Most people who detransition don't hold bad opinions towards the trans community though and sometimes they are still non-binary even if they aren't medically transitioning.

If you don't mind me asking, do you have any experience with someone who has detransitioned?

  • Sorry mate, you don't know much science about the topic. The de-transition rate is actually really low. Like 1-2% low and most of those cases are due to family pressure rather than not being trans.

That's not a fad, especially as we've got thousands of years of history for trans people and they are in every culture whether that culture is supporting or not.

Thanks for your support though. Every trans person ought to have someone who if not understands them, at least accepts them.

  • That's a long video!

  • Those offices are not cushy. The fan never works properly. The AC makes it so it has 10000 ft of temperature difference in 10 feet. And can someone bring me another frappachino?

  • I gotta know how it goes
