I'd say it's better on retail with a caveat: normal is like, for normal human beings, heroic is for normal human beings who are unemployed, and mythic difficulty is for normal human beings who are employed playing world of warcraft for their guild for like 3 dollars an hour stuck in a small 2x2 internet cafe cubicle, forced to learn every mechanic and put thirty weakauras on their screen
there's also the mythic plus system dungeon system where you basically turn the panic attack + interacting with gamers dial up and down at a granular scale until you either want to drop out or get too jokerfied to stop
