  • Got it. I'm just donating to anyone willing to publicly stand up to the administration right now and he hasn't backed down. I'm sure he and many others are receiving threats from both current administration and MAGATS alike. Besides protesting, I felt like it's my way of showing support. Like hey, we may disagree on a lot of other issues but I am in support of what you are doing right now. Our democracy is no longer a democracy and we need more allies fighting back against fascism. Most of the Democratic establishment is doing jack shit right now. Let's support people that do have a backbone and continue to push and criticize those that do not. That's my take on it

  • Honestly, I would not be surprised by this statistic for these companies.

    Most clothing is likely made from cheap, unregulated, likely exploited individuals, slavery ties or not. China, Vietnam, etc.

    To really bring in your ethics into clothes shopping you have to be privileged or thrift everything second hand. It is not cheap to ethically shop for clothes.

    Shout out for Prana for introducing the concept of Fair Trade to me.

    However, it is not to say everyone wearing other clothing brands should feel guilty or anything. Most people are living paycheck to paycheck. Its not easy affording >$25 ethically sourced shirts when you can get another brand new shirt for $3, $5, whatever.

  • I have a balance board at work, and if weather permitting take my dog on a 10 min jog every day... I hate jogging but 10 mins is less than 1% of your day (15 mins is 1% of your day)!

    I also do daily stretches.

  • There's so many I can think of because there are just too many books that have such a great story or good characters.

    I recently finished Some Desperate Glory and can imagine it as a TV series.

    Admittedly, some of the works I have enjoyed I selfishly do not want another version of it: Project Hail Mary (movie coming out with Ryan Gosling), dungeon crawler carl they're trying to make live action. I could go for animated but unsure about live action.

    Apple has picked up a bunch of book based TV shows. I read but haven't seen Pachinko.

  • US did consider this with Utah pioneering this initiative first. . I myself am still a believer in Housing First initiatives. The increased homelessness is a s/sx of continued systemic issues in the United States that need to be addressed in conjunction of Housing First initiatives. We need COL to be better, more affordable housing in general, education, employment rates, etc.
