What is it about these chips that makes them so special? Are they for something practical or are they for advanced weapons or AI? Why does a country need them so badly?
I don't see how those landing barges would work. They're giant targets and would only be safe from attack if the sea, air, and island were already subdued, but then you wouldn't need them. Are they actually for post-invasion delivery of materials?
Dude was up to something, nobody goes to Wisconsin for golf and there are no random drivebys in Sheboygan Falls either.
Edit after more info: seems he was there for a golf tournament. Apparently some people do in fact go to Wisconsin for golf. It seems this guy ticked off someone local.
This is one of those headlines that freaks me out, but ultimatly this meeting probably won't effect me in any way. This keeps happening. I should just stop monitoring this stuff.
I have waited with my older Leaf, but that's only because it needs the Chademo plug and there's usually only one per charging location.
I recently had my first road trip between major cities with my other EV with a CCS port. Twice I pulled up to an EA charger that was full, but there was another charger within range. I found that experience to be frustrating, but I could have looked at the app to see if chargers were available before I got there.
I guess I was frustrated because I paid for an EA plan to save a bit on charging but then ended up paying a premium at Tesla chargers because the EA chargers were full.
Thanks I know what it means but there is no existing antifa group, right? I understand a lot of people on lemmy consider themselves anti-facist and that's nice but they're not members of an organized group.
What I'm getting at is the executive order is targeting something that doesn't actually exist irl. I'm guessing this EO is a reaction to protestors in Oregon during Trump's first term who were wearing masks and calling themselves antifa. Was it a real organization then? Seemed like a bunch of kids to me with no actual leadership structure.
Perhaps some do, but I refuse to believe the majority want a king or dictator. It's far more believable that a lot of voters were/are naive and really don't like how things were going, rightly or wrongly. They then unsurprisingly ignored the candidate who said everything is fine, you're the problem, and instead voted for the candidate who said you're not the problem, the problem is all this scary stuff on fox news and only I can fix it.
In the podcast, Thiel explained that he believes the Antichrist will present itself as an advocate for regulation, pushing to slow technological and scientific progress in the name of safety. He suggested, with a straight face, that the Antichrist could look a lot like 22-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg.
He's just getting the jump on his opposition. Of course regulations are the work of the antichrist. The one legal thing that could stop whatever shit he's cooking up is a biblical boogieman. You better think twice if you want to reign in AI or environmental degradation, because that's anti-jesus.
Does he really think a lecture series will spread that message? Wouldn't youtube videos be better? Why in-person lectures?
Also why is he threatened by someone like Greta? Greta has no power. More broadly speaking, the left, however you'd like to define it, is unorganized and therefore has no power. Furthermore any serious actions as of late appear to result in capture of the actors. There's not a damn thing that can be done unless you want to throw yourself away.
How long has this been the case? And do all of those devices need chips with 3nm process nodes? Why can't a slightly inferior chip be used?
