  • Depending where you live, the tankless heater might run on gas.

Which is sometimes better for the environment than the electricity, if the grid is coal powered.

  • Saying 6-7 at random times is the gen-alpha "lulz pancake waffles XD"

  • Homosexuality can be, and usually is, the gateway into paedophilia. Some homosexuals don’t do this (as they know it’s wrong), but it happens on average from what I researched into this.

I can't tell if you're doing a bit where you pretend to be a bigot from the 1950's, but gay people aren't pedophiles "on average."

  • If they wanted to be fair and inclusive of everyone, they can set a maximum T level, or do brackets for T levels like they do weight brackets in boxing.

Unlike sports, there isn't anywhere for skill to come into determining who wins here. It's genetics, money, and time.

  • This community has 1 rule.

Keep the original title when submitting an article. You can put your own commentary in the body of the post or in the comment section.

  • How is this nsfw?

  • feltching is the search term

  • The person I was replying to didn't mention calories, so I didn't bring it up either. I was just trying to show that they were just talking out of their ass.The article is also about protein powder, so we're getting further and further from what this is even about.

Extra-firm tofu competes with chicken breast for protein per calorie.

  • You can get life for a lot of crimes, including piracy, but in order to actually get a sentence that long, it generally needs to be pretty awful or connected to other offenses.

    This guy isn't getting life.

  • The study is about grams of protein in a supplement, not grams of food eaten. This is the same thing as "What heavier: 1kg of steel or 1kg of wool?"

Also, you don't need to eat 1000g of plants to get 21g of protein.Peanuts have 26 grams of protein per 100g, that's more than your example of chicken.

Black pepper is about 10% protein by weight. So, if you want to be gross, that's about 210g of black pepper.

  • Some instances are kinda obvious to figure out what they have in common, like the now-extinct VeganTheoryClub, but some are a little harder to figure out, like the ml in Lemmy.ml is for Marxist-Leninists.

  • Something that's a little different compared to other social media platforms (and isn't on your list of thought/questions) is being able to judge books by their covers.

Since you can choose which is your home instance is based on the rules, moderation, and general vibe, the instance someone is from can tell you A LOT about them. There are some users who just mute all users from certain instances, because of this.

If you're on Lemmy.world (which is based on the Netherlands, but everyone just assumes is from the USA), you likely won't be muted because of your home instance since it's basically the default.

  • That's just not true.

A good moderator on a platform like lemmy removes content that breaks the rules, and ban users who are unwilling to learn or improve.

  • They likely have dual citizenship, which would mean they are "truly Canadian".

If they have dual citizenship, they also likely joined the Israeli military because commiting genocide is easier for some people than revoking their citizenship.

  • She dedicated her Nobel to Trump on social media.

  • They tried, in real life, with the animal that was cast as the character in the movie.

  • Unless people were going to be eating things like marten and fox anyway, it's not really a fair comparison.

A lot of leather is a byproduct of the meat industry, meaning the animal wasn't killed for leather, the skin was used instead of just being thrown away.

But I've been vegan for over a decade, so I'm not going to be pro-fur anytime soon.

  • It's pretty bad when the hospitals need to make public announcements that they're closed during certain hours because of lack of staff.

A large-enough group of people were shitty to a lot of health care workers during covid, which sure didn't help staffing ontop of Saskparty budget and policies.

  • The rule isn't to make your title an honest summary, the rule is to keep the original title.
