Lots of good things about Europe, but I doubt there would be enough benefit of us joining the EU. I think we can further relations with them without being in the EU.
Compression algorithms have come a long way in the last 25 years. Comparing a 96kbps MP3 from LimeWire in 2000 to a modern 96kbps opus file will be night and day different.
96kbps opus today is extremely listenable, even on good speakers (granted I don't have a million dollar setup, but I have studio monitors.)
That's kind of propaganda that government only wastes tax dollars and big businesses are more efficient. There are inefficiencies in both and one is not significantly more efficient than the other.
