  • I see what you mean now.

Even still, our toilets in the US are bolted to the floor and only sealed with caulking along the floor to keep water from pooling underneath and rotting the floor. With our American diets, we rely on the structural rigidity of metal bolts to keep things in place during our massive dumps

  • Those are the molex to sata power adapters that are a fire hazard. I haven't ever heard of this type causing issues and have been using them for years and years without issue.

  • Toilet seat got glued in as well.

I've gotta see a picture of this too. I've never seen a toilet seat that wasn't bolted to the toilet.

  • My cat does this exact same thing. He even sleeps on my pillow curled around my head at night but hates being picked up or laying on people directly.

  • Do you guys even think twice about the things you like getting angry about??

I guarantee if they went the other way and only offered a stripped down dashboard with little configurability people would also be complaining that they can't customize things to best suit their needs.

  • On a new install specifically when you select the option to auto-generate a dashboard during setup.

To hide sidebar items in a browser you can click on the top left "Home Assistant" button or click on your username at the bottom left and select "Change the order and hide items from the sidebar" in User Settings.

  • Oh okay "politicians are goals that people kick their ball into" therefore it's okay for Democrats to enable the Republican agenda at every turn. Thanks for clarifying things.

  • Not surprising. People would rather keep their heads buried in the sand and do nothing than actually face reality. Best to just plug your ears and keep repeating the same tired, thought-terminating clichés than face some hard truths.

  • You're not going to stop fascism by attacking those that are opposing it.

Outside of performative bullshit like tweets and angry signs, they don't oppose it and that is precisely the problem. How you can see a Democrat pass Republican bill after Republican bill and call that "opposition" is beyond me.

The real winner of the last election was laziness. More people didn't vote than voted for either candidate.

You'll need to actually demonstrate that people abstained from voting due to laziness and not apathy or disillusionment due precisely to the very lack of action from the supposed "good guys" that I mentioned previously for this claim to hold up. You might also be surprised to learn that polling shows there wouldn't have been a difference in the outcome even if every eligible person voted

I'm not American and I'll tell you that the Democratic party is a completely normal political party in a democratic system.

Can you elaborate on specifically which democratic system consists of the same two right-wing parties fighting for dominance each election? Do you really think you're more in tune with how things work here than someone who actually lives here?

The reason you hate them is because deep down you just hate democracy.

It is me who "hates democracy" and not the person arguing that everything is "completely normal" and that we need to keep electing the very same people who got us into this mess? That's laughable.

Americans are incapable of any kind of introspection, so you just look for someone to blame rather than recognize how rotten American culture is.

Says the person refusing to critically analyze the performance of the so-called "opposition party" and instead wants to blame decades worth of unaddressed issues on the single individual occupying the White House for the past year? American culture is rotten and that's because our representatives made it that way for their and their donor's own personal gain.

You'll never improve your country if you just go on looking for scapegoats rather than taking a cold hard look at what America is really all about. The first step is admitting you have a problem and you can't do that.

This coming from the person who just told me that our leaders are "normal" and who's trying to chastise me for trying to address the actual problem? That's quite contradictory.

  • What is this mental gymnastic nonsense? Elections are contests that absolutely do have winners and losers. You're also claiming in your first sentence that "elections aren't a sporting event" but then call the people "athletes"

That user is correct that the DNC shares all the blame with the RNC and Trump for what we're now experiencing. They've demonstrated election after election that they're unwilling to govern this country correctly and do what needs to be done to fix the mess we've been falling into for decades. It's always complete inaction, excuses, or half-measures that do little more than generate good PR. If they had accomplished anything truly meaningful in all this time, half the voting population wouldn't be looking to a child rapist as "the better option."

  • I think that's a replica Harry Potter wand.

  • Your dad pulled off the perfect con and nobody ever found out about his extracurricular 'hobby.'

  • "Best I'm willing to do is whine on a platform for Nazis run by my political 'rival'" - Elected representative of the people Chuck Schumer

  • We "treated the symptom" in 2020 and you can see exactly where we ended up.

  • When I had my old printer I had way better luck setting my Z height with receipt paper than with normal printer paper.

  • Its basically the same as a cork on a bottle of wine.

  • To test this you could heat the bed up for 10 or 15 minutes before starting the print so that the new PEI sheet gets saturated with heat. I don't think this is your issue though as you can print PLA without a heated bed at all.

  • Oh my god! Let me get my checkbook

  • I think I know why. Microsoft Office was a product. Their new strategy is Services. They want you to lease their services and have vendor lock-in forever. It takes a long time for businesses to migrate.

They already did/do that and it's called Office 365 and already have vendor lock-in with Windows, SSO services, Azure, etc
