  • Yeah no doubt this will rough for Venezuelans. I just take issue with people suddenly pretending that one of Trump's fellow world dictators is somehow a good guy simply because Trump did another awful thing. This is the same logic these people use to defend neoliberal Democrats that are the reason we're stuck with Trump in the first place and I'm sick of it.

  • Bambu is good for tech savvy people too. I would rather have my 3D prints actually finish than spend my time repairing the same issues with the printer for the 47th time. I use that time to engage in other techy projects.

  • Also many car manuals tell you to depress the brake to start the vehicle.

  • Let me welcome you to the wonderful world of T9 texting.

  • I'd hope it's more that that because this wouldn't give you any "privacy" as someone next to you could read it if you were actively using the device. The old screen protectors had little ridges that blocked the light from escaping to the side so you could only see it straight on.

  • Im pretty sure my friend had a screen protector capable of this more than a decade ago, but I am curious how they're able to implement this in software rather than some physical method.

  • I was hoping someone would mention Crablante

  • This is what i have. Amcrest cameras tied to an Amcrest NVR which offers remote viewing, recording, and playback and then also tied into Frigate and Home Assistant also for remote viewing, event notifications, etc. I could ditch the NVR but I'd need to get a POE switch and I like having it as a backup.

  • So you're saying you can't source any of this and we should just believe you because it's not worth your effort to respond to despite this being at least your third response on the topic and sources don't matter anymore when it's your turn to provide one because it's "common knowledge."

I've read through all the replies here and not a single one has been able to provide any information apart from "thats not true!!1!" which usually indicates a bunch of people making emotional arguments. You feel that every Democrat is good and above reproach and if anyone says otherwise that makes you feel bad therefore it must be a lie.

  • "I have a friend in the US. It's been hell for him and his family the last couple of years. Trump and his "elites" controlled the country and caused massive poverty to its citizens"

It works both ways. Would you be making these same arguments if Canada had kidnapped Trump?

  • Where are your references and citations if you feel those are important? You've simply stated that he's wrong and attacked the source but can't seem to provide any evidence to the contrary other than your emotions.

  • Meanwhile Democrats voted against impeaching Trump earlier this year, so apparently they're good with what he's doing.

  • And even if they do win big, its more ambiguous future hope. They've proven time and time again that they prefer things exactly the way they are currently.

  • 4th of July has all those BBQ dishes. Might want to push it off until Labor Day.

  • A large-scale sovereignty mission across the South Atlantic Islands has seen Royal Navy, British Army and RAF assets operate jointly across South Georgia and Ascension Island, the UK Defence Journal understands.

The activity, codenamed Operation SOUTHERN SOVEREIGNTY, was coordinated from offshore by Royal Navy patrol vessel HMS Forth, with air support from RAF Typhoon fighters and an A400M transport aircraft based at Mount Pleasant Complex in the Falklands, according to the Cyber & Specialist Operations Command.

Nothing like displaying your "sovereignty" over an island a few hundred miles off the coast of the southern tip of South America from your home in the UK 8,000 miles away.

  • It has always seemed so illogical to me that people want to make changes in their life but decide to wait for a specific calendar day to start them. I think thats a big reason why most people fail to follow through on their resolutions because if you really wanted to make that change, you wouldn't wait until January 1st to do it.

  • Yeah thats what I was going to say too. There's little keeping you on any specific instance. You don't have "karma totals" like on reddit.

  • But if she instead had been a white male, it's very possible trump would have lost.

You mean a white male like Biden who was in the race before her but dropped out because he was doing so badly?

I always find this argument weird because the people making it typically argue that "America is too sexist to elect a woman" but then go on to infantalize women by claiming that they don't win because they're women. It's never about their campaign, their choices, or their performance like you would talk about if a man had lost. They're always boiled down to one thing and that thing is a "helpless woman."

  • It absolutely was not better. It was the same system we have now but only offered through employers and if you ever switched jobs (and therefore insurance), nothing you'd previously been diagnosed with was covered under the new insurance.
