There is a positive correlation between how often I post and how poorly my life is going.

Moved to Icytrees@sh.itjust.works

  • If you see this comment, it could be interesting to get an idea of how many people:

    a) Thought OP posted this in like a "Look at how dumb this is" way, or,

    b) Thought OP agreed with the idea presented in the image.

I think this might have to do with communication climates (I am so far from an expert in anything) and how a climate of disagreement with peers and prevalent media can affect how a message is received. In other words, if surrounded by stupid people with stupid ideas it's easy to assume the next stupid idea has come from a stupid person.

  • My favorite part:

Some culture-bound syndromes appear with similar features in several cultures, but with locally specific traits, such as penis panics.

  • This is some rambling nonsense alright. Also, this is a line in there:

But I doubt Besson really loved her. They don't even have a child. He probably thought she was just hot.

  • Sir, this is a comic about nazi propaganda.

An interesting thing the nazis did was portray jews, blacks, disabled, etc. as irredeemable criminals in order to justify extra-judicial punishment.

  • Ahaha... you got me. Now I know an in-joke next time I'm hanging with Germans.

  • Bielefeld? That's a real place.

  • Bob Ross would be an angel about it.

But to me, the problem could be trying to find shortcuts to paint what it seems like instead of what it is. If you want a more accurate representation, try to be ridiculously intentional with every line, no cutting corners. Picasso could draw realistically before he experimented with cubism.

On the other hand, lean into this disconcerting theme and at least everything you do will be interesting.

  • Your 2025 version gives me anxiety... which isn't a bad thing because it's definitely got character. But it's no quaint farmhouse.

It's the harsh lines creating movement in different directions, the disjointed porportions, the lighting — like a lovely summer day— in contrast with the deadness of what should be a lush background. Meanwhile, the demon tree of pain is drawing focus like a DMT nightmare.

Did you take the goddamn fear toxin before painting this?

I love it. I would honestly hang it up because it's got a vibe.

  • "I'm ignoring you"

    "You're afraid to argue"

Don't really need to argue when you do it for me.

And I did respond to your comment before it was removed. If you're interested in a more in depth discussion on sex and gender so you can avoid unscientific generalizations, I'm happy to engage.

  • checks modlog

I don't think that was it.

"Women's sports should exclude men because men are physically superior to women."

"Trans women literally are males, and I wasn't specifically referring to them; I was referring to all males."

"Literally no group of people cries wolf as much as transpeople trying to censor anyone who isn't loyal."

  • Thank you :)

  • Is your trolling always this obvious?

  • Disregarding the rest, transwomen are not all born with typical XY chromosomes and the XX/XY karyotypes for sex designation are a lot more complicated than xx=lady and xy=guy.

Aside from extra or damaged chromosomes, chimerism, and other genetic differences, there are mitigating factors in genetic expression that can affect development in a number of ways. As one example, there are women with XY chromosomes who don't even know it, and recent studies have found a lot more of them than previously thought to exist.

So, even before taking into account gender dysphoria, sex isn't that cut and dry in the first place.

  • Outrage, divisive politics, creating an enemy strawman...

  • I'm no expert on the subject and I wasn't able to find a clear account. Keep in mind a lot of effort went into spinning the story so the real facts might be long gone.

    I've read:

-It was a dispute over unpaid rent

-It was political between nazi's and communists

-Wessel's chick used to prostitute for his killer

Who knows, it could have been a bunch of things.

  • This is about propaganda, not culture.

Why would anyone ban you for that? It's not an unpopular opinion or mean.

  • The title seems like clickbait. Her actual statement seems in favor of what sports leagues were already doing.
